I just watched this last night, and was cheering for Dawn the whole time. I’ve been a licensed hairstylist for 27 years, and in the last few years had to retire from it for health reasons. In those years, I’ve dropped my clippers and guards many times, and kept extra guards for that reason. All Dawn really needed was just a little courage. She was doing great! All you have to do with buzz cuts really is when they look uneven, go back over them with the same guard a couple of times. That will even it. And cut against the growth of the hair. The taking shorter strokes was exactly the right way. That’s what we’re taught in school. She was just scared, but she really did great! ❤️

Oh my gosh I needed that big laugh. When Dawn dropped the razor and broke the guard I thought I would choke to death from laughing so hard. Then when Dawn wanted to quit I was cracking up! I had all I could take the other day, and cut my hair! Since it was hard to cut in the back, I just focused on overall length of about 1 inch all around. I’m sure it wasn’t professional, but it did look ok! Can’t wait until hair dressers are back in business.

Look at Dawn's face as she's cutting. Lol I actually think it's going to look okay. I used to be a hairstylist and would cut my sons hair with clippers every 2 weeks. You need to get a pair of shears and cut around the neckline and ears before you start with the clippers. You can get hair cutting shears at walmart.
