thank you, I really wanted to make some with embossing and thought this turned out nice, glad you liked too xx

Simple, yet very elegant. Also such a great time saver when you have many cards to make. This is a great embossing folder to use for Christmas and winter themed cards. I used this folder many times on my cards. Tfs. Hugs,Sue

And I think for american size (is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2?) that this folder will work in one pass, no need to do that extra bit at the end that I had to do - not that its a big deal but if you were making a few of these maybe different colours or folders then it does add a little bit extra time to the process. Hugs xx

Yes, that is what the folder measures. Although the embossed area for the height I would say is actually only about 5 1/4 . I actually prefer my embossing folders to be bigger and when I can find bigger ones I get them as I like to usually make my cards a bit larger.

I agree I prefer the larger folders and I mostly buy a4 now. I think this one was one of the first folders I purchased and I just didnt know any different then, but as you said I too like to make larger cards generally but even if I dont I prefer to have the choice and like with this one it really didnt take into accoutn international sizing. Actually the US sizing is the odd one out and most of the world size the same as the UK. So it does seem a bit shortsighted to make it that size. even if they went A6 size (the size of the card I made here. It is only a little bigger and it cover international plus it is bigger than US so they would be ok too. xx

Amanda, great tutorial. I am trying to do more simple cards this year as postage in the past was getting out of control for multi layered cards. I enjoy all the help I can get. Finally had a break in the weather as it really cooled down and was only in the 60"s walking the dog this morning. We still need the rain and hopefully will get some this weekend. Southern Missouri has been really hit hard with lack of rain and flowering on bushes and plants have slowed down to stress. Hope all is well there and you have cooled off some and rain your way. Hugs

Finally it has cooled and some rain - first in prob 8 weeks here. The grass is completely yellow and spikey, my lovely window boxes all the flowers have given up. We did water them but there is a ban on hose pipes so had to be careful with the water. The hanging basket is ok, but the boxes oh dear lol! Glad you have had a little break in the weather too, I do worry about fires. When I was a little girl and we were on holiday in the area we now live, we got caught in one of the biggest forest fires this area has ever had. So am glad for the wet rain lol!

Hi I really love these lovely cards, who did you say you brought your Pre made cards from please
@lollilulucrafts3 жыл бұрын
I have a local paper mill, so any body local to you that perhaps provides paper, card etc as a supplier/wholesaler say to print shops, stores etc might be able to help. I was so happy to find this guy. He literally, he tells me, has these massive sheets of card and will cut, score the cards to any size plus he cut the mats for me. That was technically an extravagance but actually he basically charged per large sheet and nothing extra for the scoring or cutting. Now obviously sometimes there would be wastage but it was such good value and to have the mats too - I mean isn’t a fiddle to get those mats perfectly square on! Plus he also sold envelopes. Those were standard sizes only so any off standard I just make my own. But I ended up with a5: a6: 6x6 and 5 x5 all with mats 1/4 “ down from the card therefore giving a perfect 1/4” margin all around. I’m afraid I don’t have the company name - believe it or not of my guy, just his name and number. I did some internet hunting and found him. He was so helpful, sent me lots of samples so would get just the right white I wanted, weight etc but some of these wholesalers are not always keen to sell direct to public. I did buy a lot in one go of each, prob a good couple hundred each card type with layers (and a few extra layers in case I boo booed or wanted to use one on the inside etc. Anyway sorry answer so long but hope it’s helped a little :-)

Hi Where can I purchase the stamp set you made to make these lovely cards from plesse
@lollilulucrafts3 жыл бұрын
Hiya, I had a look at the video and the post to remind myself of the cards and the stamps were by my pink stamper. Now the fact that I haven’t listed them in the product list on the post often (although not always sometimes I just forget something 😆) means I can’t find it anymore to list. I do know that my pink stamper although still doing KZbin but s now a stampin up demo so no longer makes her own stamps. So sorry about that, but any stamp would work I’m sure :-)

Hi Amanda,Very pretty,classy and simple,yet shows you've made an effort in making a handmade card.Like a previous comment ,the price of postage now makes sending multi layered cards so expensive,think it's even worse from Spain,so a lovely choice of xmas card!How are you coping with the heat over there in uk.Off down to Marbella tomorrow to see IL DIVO in concert ...can't wait!!😄😄Xx
@lollilulucrafts6 жыл бұрын
How was your concert? they are fab singers those lads, bet it was incredible. As for the heat, it is insane although the last two days it has been cooler and we actually have had rain, which is the first time is prob 8 weeks. Our grass is yellow and spikey lol!
