Love the weathering techniques..........I use Vallejo paints mostly but had no luck with their varnishes........always dull the paints and have to really thin them out to get them to spray....... Would love to see some weathering tutorials...........keep up the good work.
@CutTransformGlue6 жыл бұрын
Thank you Wuldiba! I wish I ould help you but I never used Vallejo.. I use only local brands that are more affordable and easy to find, but they are unfortunately not that great. I'll definitely start making tutorials on those techniques (not that I'm an expert on them, but anyways). Thanks again = )

Beautiful models ! Please make more videos and more video tutorials. What material would you suggest for those who don't have a laser cutter ? What about styrofoam like some use for environments ?
@CutTransformGlue4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I would recommend styrene.. With just a snap knife, styrene and some types of glue you'll be able to do a lot! Styrofoam is too soft and fragile, I don't like it.. But that is just me :)

Great imagination and craftsmanship. Looks like the body is PETE/polyethylene. What kind of glue are you using since I've tried everything and nothing seems to want to bond it. Cheers.
@CutTransformGlue5 жыл бұрын
I use mostly CA glue, but some types of plastic are very hard to glue.. you can increase the surface of contact by sanding the parts a little, add some baking soda to increase the resistance, and if that's not enough you may try fast curing epoxy ! I some times even use some screws to keep pieces together! Thanks for your comment :)
@rex7584 жыл бұрын
great work, love your Technic. like the design of the robot... Q. what material use for the laser cut, and the Glue you use on the model . and Also the putty, what was it? Thank you CTG.
@CutTransformGlue4 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot!! So, for the laser cutter, I use MDF and Acrylic ... The first one because it's cheap and versatile, the latter can be costly, but the finishing is way superior!

I was making an action figure. I started adding details using stuff i could find (model kits, stuff around the house and the mall) and i unknowingly kitbashed a pretty cool robot. After that, i’ve been on a kitbash obsessed frenzy. I watched a bunch of kitbashing vids, and yours is very inspiring. This is coming from a guy who is enrolling in a college for a diploma in arts and illustration. Idk what is happening please help
@CutTransformGlue5 жыл бұрын
I know this feeling my friend! Once you start at kitbashing/junkbashing/scratchbuilding it's very easy to become addicted to it, specially when you discover that even household junk can be used to create amazing things... I discovered this world some years ago and since then I've been collecting cool pieces from all sorts of objects (old mechanical electronics are the best btw). If I can give you some advice: keep track of what and how you storage you itens (it's easy to become a hoarder and for that I have some strict rules and try to keep things organized). It's funny, I'm also starting at college this year (visual arts) and even though these universes are pretty different from each other (I do some autoral art aswell) I like to keep moving and creating on multiple areas of expressions far from each other... Just have fun and create as much you can, this can't hurt! good Luck and share your results with me please, i'd like to see your work! Cheers = )

hello great video what are the storage bins shown in the beginning? looks to be a laser cut kit?
@CutTransformGlue5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Whenever I make my laser cut projects I always include some random pieces to be cut (to use the most of the material) So I end up with that huge collection of pieces that are not a "kit" per say, but almost work as one.. Thanks again = )
@scratchcrafter5 жыл бұрын
So you lasercut those storage bins and drawers? Looks great did you use a template?
@CutTransformGlue5 жыл бұрын
Oh now I see, you were talking about the storage bins! I forgot that they were visible on the beginning.. So, I did a project on sketchup for that! That project has a lot of mistakes and issues, so I feel that's not usefull to send you that.. I'm currently planning on making a new version and put a build video here on the channel. Then I can share the project with you guys with thingiverse = )

Really good build! Only thing thats a little off putting, is how little detail the legs got compared to the rest of the body. I mean... they have detail but the dark colouring swallows it a bit. Smth. simple like painting moss or dirt would habe gone a long way to make this set tell more of a story. But this is just meant as some minor constructive criticism. Your build ideas are amazingly creative, your attention to detail, style and colouring is unparralleled. You truly are a grand master of model building! But what is not to be underestimated is how well you camera work is. Its always easy to follow what u do. Thanks alot for all the amazing work u do!
