Editing: I'm using a different method of filming. I'll speak into the camera and then begin the movement in the clip.
Kind of like when you edit your clips and you cut out the part where you are running to set up the camera....driving past it,...then running back to turn it off.
Only, What I do is move the voice over around on the clip, often times using two voice tracks on the same video piece. I don't know the real jargon and how to describe what I'm doing using the correct words. Remember, 9th grade was the last full year I finished. Thou shalt not expect much of me.
In this video some of my speech was muffled...I have no idea whether that can be corrected...so I let it go.
The editing goes much faster, still takes hours...but much faster. What took the most time was to find the torque specs. I had to find them on the Internet because if its on the Internet then we know it is true.
A side note....
It has taken two full months to go from 742 subscribers to 752. I think it was 13 videos to gain ten subscribers. That puts me at a rate of 60 a year...not bad.
Not bad at all.
...as compared to the videos...which are bad....bad and all.

Yup yup yup. I've bought two sets of steel wheels from other people. Both sets came with lug nuts. I always wanted to learn how to juggle...now I'm all set. So is the Deadline, I keep the spares in the basement out back.

Our poor old 2006 Subaru Forester is in about the same shape. Haven't done the CV axles yet cause they are still in good shape. Different story on the struts, sway bar links and bushings. Oh, and it's time for brakes too. 238,000 miles and still ticking 🤞

Wow...a Forester. I bought one because it had a 5 speed. The head gaskets went out. The a long back burner project was born. The car sits, indoors,...pretty good shape...don't even recall the miles on it. I had cash in the glove box. ( emergency get me home money ). I bought a parts 99. Turns out the 98....had a double overhead cam engine....and the parts car did not. Took that parts car apart and sold all the pieces ......but still no engine. Then...I lost the original engine. At this point I hope some kid shows up one day and says " Gee Mister, that's a cool car ". If it worked I would drive it, but...I admit, I need trucks and driving a wagon doesn't help much. tHanks for stopping by!

@@mattthescrapwhisperer There are two cars, that I still have, which I wish I had not bought. 2003 Mazda wagon, and the Forester. I paid real money for them....and interest on top of that. Before that I had a Subaru wagon that was given to me. "It needs a clutch and is up at the Exxon...you tow it out of there and it is yours " That one was fun....I pulled the engine...kept it on the cherry picker and swapped the clutch...dripped it back in and was off to the races.....That car lasted years and only stopped because I bought the other two. I should of quit while I was ahead. ( I like wagons...Always did. Wagons were always selling cheap(er).....Not anymore) Are you going to keep the Forester? Seems like it is just getting started! * One more Forester story. Another guy around the corner had one so I gave him the transmission out of my parts car. ( automatic...not for me) I sold the engine to a guy in Richmond, VA He gave me and address and I delivered it. Turns out I took it to a Subaru dealership and he was a mechanic. I got there during work hours which was no problem. This guy and his buddies stayed after work and could use the shop. Gotta love the south. It takes them two hours to pull an engine, and put another back in. They work on these older cars. As mechanics they also experiment and don't use new head bolts on their own cars. They know they will last an easy 30,000 miles and most likely they will just spend a couple hours popping another engine in and out. They freshen up old engines and use them. With all the interruptions I have going on, It would take me a week to do an engine swap....and I would still have a tray of extra nuts and bolts...and one spring leftover?

@@OutOfOrderGarage Yeah...that one. I called two people right away, one said " I'll go tomorrow" and brought cash. Sometime overnight the family contacted an old high school friend or something like that. ....The words that really kill me....The guy in charge of clearing the home, when the car was gone said " Great, that car is finally gone " You see, it was up to him to get things out as quickly as he could so that remodeling would begin. They took that home and completely gutted and remodeled it. Nicest home on the block and it sold for 998 thousand dollars. ( It is one of a few against park land....and on a busy road ). Their haste paid off for them. I found a few others since that time but nothing special.

@@Dancing_Alone_wRentals tomorrow (Friday) features putting rear brakes on my daughters Impala, so the car is safe for the grandsons. Saturday includes a combo birthday party for the same daughter (26) and the grandsons who will be 3 & 5 next week. Sunday is Father’s Day, so nothing is going on. Monday or Tuesday (TBD), the oldest two daughters (35 & 33) are taking me to “a nice restaurant of my choice”, except my first choice was rejected as “we go there all the time “ and choice two was rejected as “not expensive enough”. The 26 year old, her husband, and the boys have been informed that they are “not invited” because of cost and they don’t want to take a 3 &5 year old to a “nice restaurant”. Those oldest two are well established into spinsterhood.

@@haneyoakie14 that was absolutely hilarious! The go there all the time spoke volumes! What is really cool is you have a 3 & a 5...not once...but twice 33 & 35. Moreover the 3 & the 5 can be very spoiled. Sufficiently spoiled...I'm not sure how that is said. ( I also have a bias as I like cub scouts. I would rather the 3 and the 5 because the evening's conversation would be guaranteed good.....whereas a 33 & 35 could go off the rails anytime......ruining your double chocolate extra syrup triple tall dessert. 3 & 5s tend to let doctors be doctors and not meddle in pursuits such as common sense). Either way....these next days are going to be great! Have a fantastic time!

Ha, tHanks. I watched the video and thought....ehh, I didn't get enough smoke on camera. Glad you spotted the theme. Those are actual coals out of the grill...I was burning some wood then trying to get it to smoke. Everything was filmed one time with two cameras. Took too long to set up and plan B was to have the smoke under the car.......but it is a greasy mess....Concrete belongs under the car, flames should go over. I used two aluminum trays, and between them there was rain water. I think that rain water was cooling the coals too quickly and the camera was too far away. It was fun...I needed a little bit of fun yesterday. tHanks for watching!!!!
