Had a game in Vermont where the friendly Yamato and i took out the enemy carrier in our first salvo. That was SO SWEET!!!

can u make a new mod video, and show us what mods u use at the moment. Cause i cant find the Icon mode that makes the HP bars of the enemy disappear if u dont Aim on them.

Ive definitely been tempted by the yamato/satsuma line since my main experience with BS is missing 10 full salvos at 5km on broadside cruisers with every shot going both too high and too low in the schlieffen line. Though I havent had much luck with the ragnarok either, I swear I have a better hit rate with DD shells at 15 km than BS at sub 5

Your aiming video is still one of the best out there. It set new standards for CC's. A good bit of your content will only go out of fashion if WG changes the game. But an update would be lovely :)

Been using the Aslain “true zoom” for awhile, but the X on the minimap thing looks useful also. Honestly couldn’t care less about Satsuma, but PQ’s videos are entertaining and a lot of the advice generalizes to the mere mortal tiers I play at.

Modstation is a sanctioned modpack by WG, why do people consider it "cheating" and avoid it? Just curious what the reasons are.

@@kingofcastlechaos not every mod in there is considered "cheating". Rather, certain mods present in there give major advantages (the traffic lights mod and the navigator mod) being the biggest examples as the TLM shows whether the targeted ship is moving forward, idle or reversing, while the navigator shows the angle the targeted ship is oriented to you. Those are fairly big advantages to players who use those mods, hence the complaint about cheating, but since WG supports them, why not use them then.

Idk what's the proportion of above-average players that use dynamic crosshair but ngl I personally think that after so many years, it wouldn't make a difference anymore. We've gotten so used to aiming without it, my crosshair is basically invisible to me now, i don't see it anymore, I just aim based on gut instinct. For new/inexperienced players though, sure of course

been trying to find the "x" marker mod for the mini map. but i can't find it? is it not on aslains?

It's part of the minimap mods. I recommend BattleFrame's one over AutoSpy's. The latter's default settings are a bit lacking and, crucially, are on a per-ship basis whereas BattleFrame's minimap's settings are universal.

The 4 point radar would probably be way more helpful than secondaries as it would give you a bunch of situational awareness (esp. sneaky DDs). I'm really surprised you don't ever take it. There is an argument that letting people know they are radared is a problem for some ships but with the Satsuma you're always spotted anyway that doesn't really matter, and it would help cover up any DD that is also running it.

What radar skill are you talking about? If you mean RPF then that hasn't been a skill available to bb's since the captain skill rework over a year ago.

I really wish that battleship players should go right by each other shooting of rounds at a relatively close range like pirate ships fighting in pirates of the caribbean just letting lose with cannons at point blank, the first one to die loses and whoever is still standing can continue to fight until death, as that would be pretty cool but when people disrespect you by just staying in their safezone and sniping u from their side of the map then there is really no point in thinking about the words "Fun" and "exciting"

I still think that SS, should have their own gamemode, but they seem to be a ton of fun. Satsuma seems to be a Yamato on steroids. Love the camo btw, shame that they're useless by now.

Hey PQ, you've talked a lot about games that are complete landslides in one favor. I've noticed that this is heavily influenced by how good of a CV is on the losing team. If a CV clearly doesn't understand how to play the game, or spot, you will lose drastically due to constant lack of vision. This leads to people getting burned and pushing out even further to try to play safer, leading to an even higher number of people sniping. I've been watching the CV stats in games that I've been part of that are landslides, and almost every single one of them has had a CV with less than 45% win rate doing absolutely silly things like focusing groups of ships and deplaning themselves, or never spotting. Have you noticed anything like this?

God, i love the yamato design, but i hate the satsuma one. I can tolerate the unnecesarily big upper bridge, but that secondary arragement is atrocious. Just put the 203 guns simetrically, 2 behind the superfiring front turret, 2 before the superfiring back one, and the 100mm guns between them. Tzoli did awesome yamato follow-on designs, they should have used one, asking 1st and crediting him, of course.

I did the same thing. A while back I was in my Georgia. It was near the beginning of the match and the enemy CV was spotted for a moment. The CV was a new premium one. It had just come out but I forgot which one. I took the shot and got first blood. I felt sorry for the guy. That might had been his first time he took his new premium CV out.

I've been playing slava lately, and you can often bait the CV to give you broadside by shooting at it. Then they'll click the minimap to turn around and sail away. If you did it right, you can proceed to kill. 1/10 games I kill CV in first 5 minutes.

PQ + 3 Hurricane Players vs 12 absolute randoms. Who could have guessed that this match would be a blow off? WG needs to start balancing the teams in randoms and should stop giving us excuses..."this is random"... No WG, this is bullshit and if it really would be random, than we would face 4 CVs, 2 CAs, 5 DDs and 1 Sub VS. 6 Schlieffens, 1 french CA and 5 Subs. THIS would be random. But since you balance ship types and sometimes even ship roles, you should also start balancing Teams!

I would love to play superships in their own game, but they don't belong in THIS game. I have no issues with subs or CVs, but this supership / gimmick garbage drives me nuts and probably out of the game eventually.
