My great great grandfather fought in WW1. Portuguese soldier in the trenches. My grandfather said that when he came back, he was never the same. War is hell. In the 70s my grandfather would be heading into the Ultramar war, Africa. Today, ive seen former soldiers from opposite sides of war, talking about it, working side by side as brothers... in the past they wouldve killed each other. War turns a man into a beast.

Tell that to the Nazi soldiers who invaded half of Europe, the Soviet Union and North Africa. How were they defending Germany by invading other peoples country. They weren't. They were there to follow the orders of a madman so that they can conquer, oppress and exploit them. For they believed believed themselves to be the master race and that all others will be slaves. For Germany will destroy all Weak and Cowardly nations. To them some races don't have a right to exist. I guess they were not true soldiers, unlike the Soviets who were literally fighting a war for survival, that was not just behind them but everywhere.

Killing someone for eating? Using only one way to feed your family, tribe, country (in the early Middle Ages)? It's not so simple. If we fight for a human, then all this moralizing is pointless. Besides... people create a lot of other things as well. Honor of a warrior, Homeland, etc.
