This is so cool. Ridd has been a favorite the moment I heard him over 20 years ago. I'm buying the new album for sure. CVE represents Hip Hop in the best way.

I've been loving these LA Underground retrospectives! It's fascinating to me how persistent the tradition of underground music is in LA, from Horace Tapscott's Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra to the Jazz cats at the World Stage & 5th Street Dick's who bridged the generational gap by inviting young MC's to come play with them, to the hip hop workshops of Radiotron, iFresh, Good Life, Project Blowed, Konkrete Jungle, Low End Theory, Bananas. The legacy is rich indeed. Thousands of lives given an outlet to unleash their creativity upon the world, pushing hip hop to new heights, influencing generations of rappers that came after them, helping birth new independent hip hop movements worldwide. It's a beautiful thing! And it's all love!
