Did you see the movie 'The Two Popes'? If so, thoughts?

I was house-sitting (cat-sitting, really) a couple of years ago and I tried watching it on Netflix. I really wanted to like it (because the trailer seemed somewhat quirky and cute) but I have a powerful aversion to historical recreations in secular film. It has always bothered me (even before my conversion from Atheism to Monotheism in 2009). I skipped 90% of the film and caught sparse glimpses of scenes without any context, so I can't tell you what I think about "The Two Popes" film, sadly. Perhaps you can tell me what you gleaned from it. You used to be Catholic, right?

@@cvs-podcast yeah I thought it was a fair speculation, to my eyes did not have any obvious anti-Catholic slant to it, it did show them as all too human characters doing their best to serve the church, I learned more about Pope Francis' earlier life that I did not know

Yes! You gotta Love it!.... Well, Atleast i do! 😊. Folks we don't have to Love his smile, his face, or his beer belly. The pope is Not impeccable, he is infallible tho, ONLY because he is guided by the holy spirit. Which means we don't have to worry about the pope. Those in the "right" or "Left" camp, id take a deep look within, beware of your judging, of your pride, of your self righteousness. I only say this because when the devil was leading me towards sedavacantism, by the grace of God i noticed that i wanted recognition for my "following" the commandments, or attempted following of commandments. I was judging others & deep inside thinking i was more holy than others. We must be humble! A humble person would NEVER make a silly cartoon like that! Nor would a saint! Look within as your problem may not be with Pope francis, but it may be with yourself. Just be catholic, which is submission to the church, and that includes the vicar of christ. What's funny to me is these camps we talk of, they really think that were ignorant to the facts & accusations, and don't "see" what they see. Well NO folks, we can "see" it. We just simply trust God! Not man but God, as the church will never cease to exist until the end of time. So just trust God. And what a relief that we don't have to play judge, and have to judge if our pope is really the pope. And unless we put on our sherlock holmes hats and play internet detective on youtube, that were not truly Catholic? Looks like the sweet ole litl faithful saintly lady that loves jesus christ in the Norvos ordo is doomed! Lol.😊. Thats not reality folks.

@@cvs-podcast Thanks but this is easy! I lean NOT on my own understanding. If i did, id be a sedavacantist traditionalist catholic on the left center. Which would really mean im a Protestant, and i wouldn't be able to even see that i am! Thank God almighty i don't have to lean on my own understanding, as we can just confuse ourselves, thinking we've become wise, but became fools. God is too Good to us, by giving us his church. How can anyone say to themselves "I don't believe the church Christ built is still standing TODAY"???

I fear for you. A few years ago you were so open minded. But you have descended into tribalism. You are so deep in the ideology that there is only one escape. You need to take several years away from the church and immerse yourself in something else entirely. If you are right, you will see your past life as superior; else, you will become more enlightened.

I may have seemed "open minded" in the past, but since 2009 I have firmly believed that there is absolutely no possibility of salvation outside of the visible boundaries of the Holy Roman Catholic Church (and if you listen to my early videos you will discover that I readily and openly proclaim this wholesome dogma.)
