I have a 2005 Honda City Manual Transmission with 80k kms. Running absolutely fine and no issues. Should i still change the transmission oil?! The gears were smooth and slotting perfectly.

As per Honda's service schedule, for manual gear car oil should be replaced by every 60k km and for CVT 120k km. Generally for manual transmission in severe condition change transmission oil in the range of 60k, 120k, 180k km like wise..if you're driving is normal then change at the interval of 120k km. For VT vehicle, in severe condition change at the interval of 40k km, i.e. 40k, 80k, 120k and for normal conditions change at the 80k, 160k,220k...this is as per honda service manuals... severe condition means you are using car very rough..

Generally garage Beale TQ oil dalte he, unko jyada technical pata nahi rehta. TQ oil is for automatic or AMT transmission ke liye rehta he, uska grade bhi alag rehta he. CVTF ka grade alag rehta hai. Isliye CVT ka oil alag rehta he. Iske baad me TQ oil se problem aa sakte he. You can search on google also. Better to use CVTF from honda showroom.

@@pranjalmorkhade6019 I m from Pune. Got it from Deccan honda. Honda service center is good in this case, they will replace your oil free of cost, they will charge only for oil.
