I don't think I've ever been more surprised about the difference between what I imagined someone's voice to sound ike and what it actually sounds like than the first time I heard Mike Chioda speak. I watched this dude on my TV for over a decade assuming he had the voice of a corporate pipsqeak like Michael Cole (with all due respect), only to hear him on a podcast a few years ago suddenly sensually caressing my earholes with the smooth silky bass of a baritone that would give Barry White a run for his money. I think I even had to double check to make sure I was listening to the right episode lol

Finally someone close to it who isn't just blaming Goldberg. It was that post spot that ruined it. The fact that the gorilla position let this go on says volumes about WWE management at that time. Since Taker was going over anyway, they should've pivoted more quickly to an improvised finish. Absolutely broke my heart too. These were arguably my two favorite wrestlers growing up. They could've had a great match.
@bourbon646
@bourbon646 7 ай бұрын
Nothing is ruined and Goldberg vs Undertaker had the best match they possibly could. At that age what do people expect them to have a 5 star match? I thought it was great to see them in the same ring and doing there moves. They messed up a little but we should be more than happy to see it at PPV and both Goldberg and Undertaker didn't get any major injuries. Anyways fake WWE matches that include CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, many vanilla midgets and Bret hart the biggest Vanilla midget never drew a dime. Wrestling is all about entertainment and not about having a crisp match and impressing a few hundred fans. Kenny omega vs Another Vanilla midget on AEW will only be remembered by some Hardcore fans who will have that in the underrated match list. Lol

It was a bit of a dream match for me even though I knew the older guys wouldn't be moving like they used to. All honestly the match started off decently. The two spears out the gate was shocking, some brawling, it should have ended on that first tombstone. Just boom, done, the end. Really should have ended after that post spot botch but they just let it keep going and they couldn't do it safely enough. But I didn't even think about the weather and the travel everything just adding up to making it harder and harder to perform.

I watched this match live. When Goldberg came through the door after head banging it I knew he rang his bell really good! You could see it in his eyes. He was calmer looked vacant he didn’t do any of his trademark neck cranking and snarling as he came down the hall. I think that was when he was concussed. That door was solid. Must doors make a hollow aluminum sound when he bashes it. this door was a solid thunk noise. Whats more he missed his Queue! After he went off camera as he was walking up to gorilla he didn’t appear on the stage for a solid 5 minutes didn’t do his pyro although that might have been due to the heat in the arena but I have no doubt they were checking him out after that head banging. That was way too long before coming out onto the stage.

Yeah, Undertaker broke character. He looked pissed. Whereas, normally... normally he would be like...

People forget that Undertakers tombstone put Goldberg head right into mat. Goldberg could have broke his neck too.

That's because Goldberg could not hold himself up.

@@Omega666EvilYou’re obviously biased. Undertaker was gassed out as well, he couldn’t carry Goldberg.

@@mzakami3090Agreed. That tombstone looked way worse than the jack hammer. Undertaker is getting a pass on that one because he's the Undertaker.

@@vitamind2779Undertaker and Yokozuna are treated like mob bosses. How many jobbers has Yoko literally squashed but nobody says a bad word about him. It's fishy.

The person taking the Tombstone is meant to tuck their head in (watch the way Lesnar takes the move for example). Goldberg was obviously not doing too good by that point in the match and didn't protect his head at all....
