Hey! Kudos for getting out and working cw qrp. No need to constantly apologize for being new in this portion of the hobby. You'll get up to speed soon. 73's, KG5BMX.

There is something special about being a million miles from anybody and turning on your radio and getting CW contacts all over the country. CW is the best mode!

I hunted a park in upstate New York from my home base station on 10 meters recently. Was very excited about it. Enjoy your activation. 73!

As a vintage ham, love the look of the TRL-45. Not North Carolina but a very nice spot. In eastern Colorado, pretty sure POTA stands for "prarie on the air" where a telescoping mast is the only tree in the park. POTA paradise in Utah (654 parks) vs Colorado (194 parks). Looking forward to our visit to Northern Utah this fall. Thanks for the post. 72s, Mike, KN7U
