I believe that was enabled by the latest firmware update. You can tether your iPhone or Android phone to the camera via USB and use the phone as a hotspot.

Good improvements (I currently shoot with a Panasonic AG-UX180). Thank you especially for _finally_ allowing simultaneous LCD & EVF output (that constant switching on the 180 is annoying!). And also thanks for thinking of that extra shoe mount on the side, wonder why no one ever thought of that before! Now only if somehow you could convince Sony to license their MI Shoe technology to you so we could get rid of those cables and batteries! A few other suggestions for future handheld-style camcorders in general: * Allow for more than just 90 degree rotation of the EVF, so if I have to raise the tripod over my head for a high angle shot, I can rotate the EVF further downward from the 0 degree (horizontal) default position, and therefore look up into the EVF. And have a mechanism like a lever on the side to tighten it down. * Make the LCD panel show up well in direct sunlight. Since at this point in time neither this feature nor the above exist, I've found it hard, for example, to shoot traffic signs on the side of the road for some transportation videos I'm working on, since they're often mounted pretty high. I mainly have to use the LCD rotated down, but with all the glare from the sun, I have to kind of wing it with the framing, only being able to see the general shapes and placement in the shot, with focus assist colors guiding me as to whether the subject's in focus or not. I'd rather be able to get a more detailed look at such shots. And when I try to put a hood on the LCD, it barely fits and is just enough ounces of weight to force the LCD to rotate downward. Again, a tightening lever maybe on the top or right side of the camera (the top would be more convenient if it would fit) would help for the LCD as well. * Finally, I wish that you would make dedicated in and out TC connectors like on the large shoulder-mount cameras, so that you could daisy-chain and sync more than 2 cameras at a time if you wanted to (e.g., master-slave-slave-slave...) for multi-cam ISO recording.

This and EVA are different types of cameras. This here is your typical Prosumer 4K camcorder with fixed zoom lens. The Eva needs lenses, has a Canon EF mount, and has a super 35 sensor ( a great deal larger than this). Add to that the EVA has a 5.7K image recorder as opposed to the 4K CX-350. So depending on what type of filming you do (events, ENG,) or (commercial, film).

No same problem and restriction as the DVX200. Meaning closes down while zooming. Also over priced for what it is. Panasonic will have difficulties selling this camera, (IMO) . I have 2 DVX200's and they are the same. I hardly use them ever. really funny menu and weird white balance. Was hoping this would fix all that. But love my Gh5's. Only headache is I need Atomos Ninja recorders all the time.
