I really like this animatic for a lot of reasons. I love all your work, but this one is really clever. The way Diana presents her spells as this cure for misery, making it seem so easy. And it does sound easy, doesn’t it, if you’re willing to sacrifice for it? Just don’t eat much. But the price you have to pay isn’t worth it and since starving is an addictive behavior, you really are stuck once you "sign the scroll" And the bit about the girl wanting to be thinner, of course, but also the boy wanting to get the girl. I think that’s really cool because usually girls are the ones seen starving themselves for a boy. I’m not sure if that’s what it meant, but yeah. And taking her voice, because if Diane gives in to Diana, she won’t be able to tell anyone about it, and Diana can’t let her ask for help. It’s just really good. Fantastic work.
