Cyber attacks stall business at car dealerships nationwide

Thousands of car dealers are reeling from cyber attacks that targeted software used for conducting business. The incidents are slowing sales and raising new cybersecurity concerns. NBC News’ Jesse Kirsch reports.

Some states forbid that I believe it’s a actual law the consumer has to go to the dealer can’t even talk to the manufacturer again I could be wrong but I believe I’m right primarily state laws

Congress won't pass the needed legislation because they are bought and paid for. Most of them at least. You would need to convince confederate republicans that it is in their immediate interest to pass such legislation. I feel a grift on the horizon. Be wary, check the numbers when you purchase your vehicle and insurance. There is a report circulating out there of a person who was denied a payout from their insurance because of a difference of 60 cents in their paperwork when they purchased their car.

This is not an attack on small business. Its CDK Global. Attackers are going after the supply chain. Downtime puts an enormous amount of pressure to pay the ransom since thousands of customers depend on them.
