It's funny thing here?! I never ever once saw Cyber Battalion Shockwave available last April via 2018 via my store!!! And I can kinda understand why but I might of buckled under and may of bought him if I had the chance but I did buy his Ultra Cyberverse version of him around September in that year...Still his robot mode is real nice!! As long as it stands in one spot!

I got that Ultra Cyberverse Shockwave for my nephew, and he really is the greatest Shockwave for that line, even compared to the deluxe one, with blast effects, and the largest Cyberverse Shockwave of the line, with the "shield". I, personally, chose Beast Hunters Shockwave as my G1 stand-in. Without the "beast" bits, and odd feet notwithstanding, he a formidable G1-ish Shockwave in his own right. Cyber Battalion Shockwave is still out here - and still just as tempting...

Even with no knee joints this is still the best G1 looking Shockwave without resorting to expensive third party figures. It was worth it for that alone to me. Cannon spaceship designed like a G1 version of his FoC form is an acceptable alternative to giant laser cannon, too.

Maybe this won't be a popular opinion but these Walgreens exclusives are my second favorite Transformers offerings with regard to robot mode (second to the G1 toys I played with in 1984 and '85). The caveat is that the Masterpieces are far too expensive for me, so I am not counting them. The three Walgreens guys I have, Shockwave, Sideswipe, and Prowl, in my opinion look like they were pulled right out of the cartoon when in robot mode...especially Shockwave. Shockwave doesn't have knees but even so I don't see any difference between robot mode G1 cartoon Shockwave and robot mode Walgreens Shockwave. I feel basically the same way about the other two guys. Yes, these are made of hollow plastic and are not 1984 quality, but I don't blame the manufacturer for that. Raw materials with which to make toys are more expensive now than they were in 1984. That's my take on that issue.

I had this guy in my hands tonight. Had no idea about this line, and no idea about the size it would be as it's a box. The price was cheap. After watching this video on his size and how he looks I will have to cross my fingers and hope he is still at Walmart tomorrow. Damn he looks fine with Megatron. I think I will pick up a deluxe figure that might be compatible and break out the Dremmel and give him some knee articulation and some plasticard to fill his leg up in the back. Dare I say I like him more than Seige Shockwave in looks and size. Needs a hose but that can be cobbled together as well.

I agree wholeheartedly. Yes, I think his knee surgery would be the least messy, and a quick trip to an auto parts store "HELP!" parts section should have vaccuum hose and fittings, or I bought cable wrap there, for an oversized RTS Megatron - might work as a Shockwave cable, too.
