Great video. I personally don't like Soul Charge and play Cyber Network instead. Overload Fusion and Cyber Network are basically a soul charge without the LP cost. All in all I like the combos and this made me want to try playing Gryphon.

For the video edit... Core doesn't activate if special summoned. Has to be normal summoned.

I believe you can only use cyber dragon nova's effect if you Already have a "cyber dragon" in the graveyard but you can still special summon the detached cyber dragon.

Nice profile! Very knowledgable on the deck. One thing during the 10 min mark while showing the combo for gryphon+sieger+infinity: it's actually possible to end the gryphon in middle and put sieger and infinity under the extra deck zones. This avoids the megafleet as well as giving your opponent a link marker gryphon points to.

I don't want to put Gryphon in the middle because it lets them use one of the extra monster zones and a card that points up like Knightmare Cerebus would be linked letting it's effect activate.

Hope Oh I mean put Gryphon in the zone between the extra zones. That way they can't activate monster effect in the extra zones.

@@rileystuart9030 Yea, I used to do that but then I realized since ur gonna be putting monsters like Infinity and Sieger to the left and right of Gryphon which is under the Extra Monster Zones and cards like Cerebus points up, Cerebus would be linked to your monsters letting him activate it's effect.

Hope ahh yes that's true. However, doesn't that mean the only threats existing are monsters co linked to sieger or infinity? So mainly just cebereus? It would bait a negate but really they use resources just to going into that type of play. Wouldn't leaving gryphon under the extra zone do the same thing?

@@rileystuart9030 No because you're linking something on top of the gryphon so they don't have anything adjacant to their link monster to link too.

I have a lot of respect for Tim,if it wasn't for him I would have it make the jump to cyber dragons, I would really love to see if he can make a video of how to play around thunder dragons or if getting impermanence is extremely necessary

Tim, I love you. This is very helpful. Is there a good alternate way to play this deck that focuses more on link monsters and infinity/nova/pleadies rather than fusion cards like power bond and cyber load fusion to make larger boards with links and negation. This is more of a pipe dream for me and more of a fun thing I want to make vs. being comp. Also what hand traps do you think are necessary in this build and also why no called by the grave? I feel like it's an easy out to hand traps stopping you.

Called by the Grave is nice but only really needed when ur pushing through stuff, if you look at the way that my list of cards was built, I'm okay with getting hit by a hand trap because rather than having called by the grave, I have another extender which lets my play still go through. You can remove some of the fusion cards but Overload Fusion and Cyberload are such great power cards that I wouldn't recommend it. If you do choose so however, I recommend mixing in artifacts with Waking the Dragon and that'll be a pretty fun thing to do :)

@@Denyed_ The main Artifacts you want to run are Scythe, Moraltach and Beagletach as well as Durendal in the Extra Deck since it is a Rank 5. You'd also be running Artifact Sanctum and Artifact Ignition, remember to use Durendal to force ur opponent to pop certain cards, solid choices are Cybernetic Overflow, Waking the Dragon or any of your Artifact cards :)

What deck do you think is better to build between true draco or cyber dragons- I'm currently building a few dinosaur decks but was looking for a future deck as well!

I would think cyber dragon would be better. More power and variety to play! Current true Draco builds relies on floodgates to be competitive. Floodgates are not good against Thunder Dragons...

Hey Tim, What cards would you consider for the side if you were taking this into a blind meta event?

Generally when you side deck, you try to figure out the cards that generate you the most value as per matchup. Look at your deck and decide what you think you're going to play and how many cards you can side out in the main and then try to side in cards based on how many slots you can dedicate to that matchup. Do that for all the matchups you expect to face and play as many overlapping side deck cards as you can find. Generally, floodgates like Gozen and Rivalry are good as well as standard backrow removal like Twin Twisters.

Since we go second so often, what's your opinion on maining Pankratops in Cyber Dragons?

I think it's a good side deck option if u have space and u need to get rid of certain floodgates u know your opponent plays

Its pretty good going second, a bit worse going first since you're playing around 2 extra dead cards due to you playing 3 CyDras and 2 Prankas in the main. I think it is still a good main tho in a lot of matchups since its strong vs Geist, Striker and etc. The problem will be making space for it since the main deck total is kinda tight.

I would love to see a deck profile for this deck. I am having a hard time with do I main deck imperm or do I look at something like gozen, or both? I thought about soul charge too but didn't think it would be the best in a going second deck but this make it seem really worth while to establish a board like that. I've also been debating if I want to have gryphon or maybe borelload.

The main reasons why you're able to end on this board is because Summon Sorc provides y ou an extra monster and a way to link climb your sieger off the board, without it, it's really difficult as you suffer the problem of lacking the extra monster summon sorc gives you and not having a beneficial way to get sieger off the board.

Core becomes a “cyber dragon” on field. Requirement of machine dupe is to target a monster with 500 or less attack and the special the same NAME.

just a quick point, in the soul charge hand combo you activated nova's effect to summon back the detached cydra, you need to have a valid possible target in grave first to do that (at least that's how it is ruled outside the US). Its a simple fix for your combo, just make gryphon with sorc and the core before using nova's effect and continue on with everything else you did with that hand. It still ends with the exact same board. otherwise, very interesting to see the thoughts behind how another cydra player plays the deck.

Wait! Tim opened 2 cores during the soul charge hand. There is another core in the GY, so he could activate Nova’s effect properly. Hope this clarifies!
