Thank God there's a man who made a 1-2 minute video without a life story of why they bought it and a request for a follow or like. Props to you sir.

Why? Why can't all tutorials be this straightforward? Thank you very much.

Hey Cordell. Great thanks for your simplicity and clarity. I was giving up watching presenters rambling around with no helpful info on UPS installation until I luckily stumbled onto yours. Thank you

Didn't realize that the provided usb cable was used to connect my computer to the unit. Must have skipped over it after reading all the safety instructions. Thank you for the tutorial.

I dont have a 3 pronged wall outlet. Will it work on a 220-250V extension?

If for example I plug in the battery ports a PS3, PS4 and PS5 but only one of those is turned on, do I have to add those volts to the UPS ore the devices that are off do not count to the watts/v?

When connecting the provided usb cable to the to the MacBook or Mac desktop computer (or Windows PC) will it automatically download or provide the software to the computer in order to check the UPS's status, etc...?

I have a few questions, if someone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it. Because a bunch of my most expensive gear is now glitchy from dirty power. I'm trying to protect a computer, and music equipment. 1. Does simply plugging drum machines/synths into the battery backup outlets protect from brown outs and blackouts? 2. If I don't have a land line I want to protect, do I even need to bother with the ethernet cable? (I still have a desktop to protect) 3. Said desktop is old.... it runs recording software and that's it. It's only on when I'm making music, but I still need protection from brown outs etc. Do I still need the USB cable to communicate with the computer? (I have no USB ports to spare) If a black out ever happened while it was on, I'd be there to save and shut down.

stupid question but can i just plug it into the wall and then use a surge bar to plug into UPS or will it cause issues
@AlKidd11 ай бұрын
OK. So, does the computer port play a role in sending data to the Cyber Power UPS, or does the computer usb port only receive communication from the Cyber Power UPS? Or is there bidirectional communication that occurs (?) when and if the Cyber Power software installed on the computer needs to make adjustment in the functionality of the Cyber Power UPS--or can it not do so?
@CoryWCordell11 ай бұрын
My assumption is that the USB cable allows the UPS software to monitor and communicate with the UPS. This may be used for firmware updates as well.

This works fine if all your equipment is situated close to each other but not otherwise…..

Can I plug a smaller surge protector in the same three prong outlet that the battery back up is plugged into?
@CoryWCordell11 ай бұрын
Yes, you can use the same wall outlet for a power strip but don’t plug a power strip into the UPS.

can a computer be plugged into a cyberpower backup battery without a USB wire? I am assuming the battery will allow the PC enough time to manually shutdown if there is a power outage.
@darksinthe7 жыл бұрын
Yes, manually.. but its better to just plug the USB in, because if you are sleeping Windows recognizes it as a UPS and you can set it to shut down normally after so many minutes of being on battery power.
@CoryWCordell4 жыл бұрын
The USB is for interaction with the computer and does not affect whether or not the battery provides power.

If I have my PlayStation plugged into the battery side outlet will it always be running the battery or just kick on when the power goes out so I can manually turn it off without damaging my data?
@likestocomeovertohelp3 жыл бұрын
battery only kicks on when there is a power outage, make sure your tv or monitor is plugged into the battery side as well
@jimmarchibarbosa94713 жыл бұрын
@@likestocomeovertohelp I keep getting the long constant tone from having the ps5 and tv on the battery side, do you know if the surge protector side outlets take away from the amount that can be used on the battery side?

great video. Quick question. What is the point of connecting the UPS to the computer? and what is the point of passing an internet cable through the UPS to the computer?
@CoryWCordell Жыл бұрын
The computer to UPS USB will allow the power supply and the computer to communicate. It isn’t required for the UPS to do it’s job however. The UPS also serves as surge protection. Any line coming into the computer could have a surge, such as lightning.

Can you please explain why some ups was build in Ethernet port how to work?
@bansheerider619 Жыл бұрын
you can get power surge through ethernet from the wall. The UPS helps prevent surge to your PC through ethernet.

@@bansheerider619 What if the router has a power connector adapter + its rj45 cable where to insert that ?
