2:23 This perfectly highlights the issue with modern “problem-solving.” People seem compelled to incorporate ai into everything. Robots for socializing? @akeemmorrison258914 күн бұрын
true but the term you're looking for is corporate snake oil
@tinotsutchie14 күн бұрын
I don't think the idea of solving problems is the priority anymore for modern businesses. They've caught on that treating the symptom is more profitable and less cost effective usually. Why try to solve loneliness when you can give the user an experience they control, away from the chaotic nature of humans? We feel more in control and in power when dealing with technology as opposed to actual people.
@sqlevolicious10 күн бұрын
AI is a gimmick that dumb VCs were throwing money at a few years ago. It's not the case anymore now that we have seen that AI is useless, and can't be used for any practical applications in the real world. It's not something that can reliably task manage, have human conversation, or be used for anything outside of surface level algo. Companies are dropping all their senior level programmers and replacing them with AI, killing their product support and those companies are straight up crumbling to the ground instantly right now. Even entry-level and mid-level engineers are avoiding working for any company in AI. It's all a big scam now, and the investment bubble is going to burst very soon. Most likely when the economy crashes due to horrific Trump admin policy coming very soon. So that republicans can blame someone else for massive unemployment numbers we are about to be facing.

It's surprising that most of them are from China. Am I the only one who noticed that?
@JeighNeither14 күн бұрын
Huh? First of all NO! Not all Asians are Chinese FFS! It's likely half the ppl you believe to be Chinese are actually Taiwanese (the biggest players in tech, & where the highest quality processors are made) or Japanese. Lastly, if its surprising to you that China is at the forefront of electronics tech, you haven't been paying attention for the last decade. Over half the world's cars are built in China by Chinese brands. They're mostly built around a computer rather a combustion engine (even non-electrics) unlike most American cars. China let big tech/auto come in & make big $ for a couple decades, then took/stole their intellectual property, improved upon it. Now they've started kicking them out of the country. This is the price for all the cheap shit you've consumed over the past 20 years. That & global warming. So yeah, in a tech savvy crowd, you would be the only one to 'notice' this.
