Cyberpunk 2.1 Update Bug - Load Screen Stuck / Frozen on Load - What Worked for Me [Resolved]

Cyberpunk's 2.1 update comes with a change in behavior, or a bug, when loading the game on some PC systems. The loading screen just freezes up, and doesn't load.
Here's a few things to try, and what fixed it for me!

I have the same freezing in the beginning but I can't even wait as it just crashes immediately. I don't have any mods installed. Game worked great before 2.1

Hey every one,im using mods and reshade. Im fixed this by adding cyberpunk.exe and redprelauncher.exe to the windows firewall allow list(if already cyberpunk in the list just remove it and readd it)its works.i hope everyone see my comment😁❤️

Happened to me, been playing for 3 days straight and suddenly got this just this morning. Last I played was last night. Was a bit desperate at first but just found out that I can wait the freeze out. Dont know wtf went wrong, hope there'll be more ppl reporting this and a more permanent fix than just thugging ut out lmao

The new cyberpunk update was for the worst in both the new upgrade trees and the way it’s designed now

The game engines executable appears to lock, but Windows/taskmanager don't. CPDR needs to fix

I have the same problem but I was looking for something beyond just wait. 🤣 I do thank you for putting this out there though. I noticed my CPU is completely utilized during this time. What cpu are you using?

I can't even wait. After a few moments of it being frozen, the game just errors.

Man I have a similar case but I play on Xbox, sometimes I have to restart the console because it Freezes in the first screen after the logo's screens, no matter how many times I close it and opened it again, it bothers me a lot

@@dettaooosh1882 Turn it off completely and then unplugg the power cable, give it around 10 minutes and try again. If it doesn't work then reinstall the game, if that doesn't work either may be that the save data is corrupted

@@dettaooosh1882 You should try to erase the saved data, you can find it in "manage game" menu on the dashboard, take care of not erase your game data, I think there are just 2 files, one of them is your game data, don't touch it, just the another one

Anyone know of a fix for the game freezing on the "Breaching..." screen on Xbox Series X? I have uninstalled and reinstalled it 3 times. Power cycled the console over and over. The game just won't play. I sure liked it better before all the patches.

I have this exact same issue and I have no idea what causes it happens every time I try to load the game same as you it starts working again after a couple seconds but it’s still annoying

I have the same exact thing happen to me. It freezes on the Cyberpunk logo for about ten-fifteen seconds, and then it suddenly unfreezes and runs perfectly fine. It's the weirdest thing.

Its the cpu's fault i have the same freeze issue with same cpu. You can look up all freeze without crash posts. Specifically intel 13th 14th gen it happens. Other cpus either it crashes cause of launcher or no issues.

My son has the same problem. He running an AMD GPU with Ryzen 9 5950. I’m running perfectly with no issues on my R9 7950 with a 3080ti. Could this be a AMD card issue

To me when I load a save file from the menu it just loads for infinity XBOX SERIES X BTW

@@dettaooosh1882 nahhh nothing lost. But I might have been wrong it could be that I just restarted my xbox. and I don't mean turn it off and on, mean hold the xbox button and click restart, does something else entirely to your xbox
