Playing over 800 hours with 3080 PC is the best experience. At launch CP 2077 was easy even at the hardest setting. With the latest patch the game is thankfully more challenging and more polished. But now upgrading items is broken. Fun fun world. I would pay for expansions that would make the city more complete. Night City is a unique gem. I don’t want to play in any ordinary GTA city.

@Bartol Tolić @Bartol Tolić yeah same. No ng+ is a gamebreaker for me in games that rely on exploration, character progression and RPG elements. I won't sacrifice 50+ hours, I have spent on finding the perfect weapons, enhancements, ... and start all over again. I really like the story, but that's the problem with these games. I don't want to sacrifice the progression I've made. Same goes for Horizon FW for now. Would love to already play through the game again, but I don't want to farm all weapon, armor and pouch upgrade materials again.

Pulling you out of the immersion. EXACTLY. I only saw ONE bug: EVERY tree for a mile displayed on screen, even the ones BEHIND buildings or even the GROUND...all in bright yellow. The world looked like a place to get lost in exploring for weeks before even thinking about story, (even with so little to do) but bright yellow trees showing through the ground from over the horizon just kept pulling me out. My brain just couldn't look past it. I just keep loading it every few months to see if it's fixed. Sounds like I should check in again!

My biggest issue with the game has nothing to do with glitches. The games story lacks replay ability and has little to no effects based on your choices. Pretty much only several decisions really matter. So many times I’ll go into a mission and by the time I’m done I’ll have experienced the story the same way as everyone else but my character said different words. Only difference most of the time, even the npcs will have the same dialogue most of the time.

I don’t think some people appreciate how much agency there is. Sure, your choices won’t alter the main trajectory of a lot of the most major main story beats a lot of the way, but choices are felt if you look. There are touches everywhere in differing text message references and dialogue references. There are even somewhat obscured or hidden informal choices that aren’t explicitly labeled. There are numerous gameplay approaches to the main quests, roleplaying character choices, and then you’ve got five different possible endings. Then there are consequences reflected everywhere depending on your choices in all the side quests. Side quests will continue or end depending on your choices. Characters will reappear depending on your choices. You’ll get different interactions even just via phone calls or texts depending on your choices. That’s more agency than any large-scale AAA game on the market by a landslide. Yes, in a perfect world, it would be great if there were branching main quests left and right depending on your every choice, but I’m satisfied with what’s there given the haunting themes of mortality and self in the main story.

The intresting thing if you look at a game like Days gone it has great open world systems but poor open world content were you basicaly just have monster dens and bandit camps. Witcher 3 has great open world content excluding the White question marks. The side quests have great writing and Gwent is a great mini game. The game has a beginning middle and end, V doesn't have a lot of time to be buying and flipping property, sure the city could feel even more alive and i have no doubt that will happen, but some of yall need to let go of the GTA mechanics, because I don't think that's what they were going for here lmao, in an ONLINE MODE sure, but currently, hell nah, the core game is fine, and some wont agree, but it's literally the gameplay loop of The Witcher 3, clean up the game, release the expansions, and then we'll see what happens after that.

I will say the main mission is very short, I feel like you could run through it in 10 hours, there are a lot of side missions that are really good quality, but even with them I don't see it taking more than 30 hours. people say the main story takes 30 hours but I stopped the main missions like 15 hours in because I was on mission 23 out of 30, now I've done plenty of side missions and I'm only about 20 hours in and level 19, it seems ridiculously short, I'm not trying to go fast.

I’ll be honest: no amount of bug fixes, graphical improvements, or new jackets is going to fix the mediocre story and the outright lies they told not even two months before the game released. I remember October of 2020 they said that the game was gonna have companions that you could choose which ones to bring on every mission and the ones you brought would effect the outcome of each. This was two months before the game came out and they were telling lies like that. Nothing they do is gonna fix that, nothing they do is gonna fix the fact that all of the sidequests in the game are just called into you from those dumbass fixer guys instead of just actually wandering around the city and organically discovering civilians with a problem. Imagine if in The Witcher 3 you had an informant in each region who told you “hey, go to this town and kill these guys” instead of stumbling into that town and seeing those guys beating up a farmer or some shit. Nothing they do will fix the broken promises and bad fundamental design choices.

@@ailidh-Bcn That manipulation came from the higher ups. This is a flimsy excuse that people bring up to say they lied in horrific proportions when the reality of it is that one guy lied about how ready the game was at launch and that's about it. He doesn't know anything in a technical level and should not have said anything, only developers really know how ready the game is. The content was there at launch, the content matters most, and while people were whining that CDPR is "a disgrace" and "worse than EA" because they couldn't run it on their PS, people who had a more bug-free experience and didn't have clouded judgement can tell the game is enjoyable, hype or no hype, bugs or no bugs. Bugs are very much a detriment, but people were blinded by outrage and would rather fixate themselves on higher ups and their misinformation (that every videogame company higher up practices) than the actual content of the game.

@@commietearsdrinker so? is he or isn't him part of cd projeckt red? who cares who was the specific person, the damage is done, the showed fake game reveals every week, I doubt the higher ups know how to make fake gameplay. , all this , while the innocent developers passed memes between them with all the glitches the game had for laughs. I'm sure the developers are not at fault, but that is not the point, the point is the company lied and they knew how bad the game was and blocked all ps4 and xbox one reviews up until the day after launch, and video game magazines and sites lied too, giving excellent reviews just to change them 3 days later after all the backslash. the game is enjoyable? well after a year, but I bought the game last year and have the bad habit of wanting to play a game when I buy it. so yes, they lied and manipulated, instead of canceling the ps4 version like they should have.

As a sandbox this game excels, story is so so and dialogue is the worst paraphrasing I've seen in any RPG I've played, I select one dialogue option and it comes out completely opposite to what I thought it meant, I'm on my fifth character and still finding it confusing at times, it's mostly the sandbox element that keeps me coming back, I'm still finding random things during exploration. Graphics optimization certainly gets a thumbs up from me since 1.5, I'm currently having to play this on an old gaming laptop after my gaming rig died, I'm still able to get a solid 30 fps at near ultra settings with no stutter, and that's on a GTX970M, in my opinion the devs have done a fantastic job in this area. The clipping you showed still exist, there appears to be NPC pathing going to through a wall and the NPC's just walk through and out the other side, looking at it, there is a pavement going that way, I suspect the wall was added after the pathing, another clipping issue are enemies falling inside of objects making it impossible to loot them, it's not really a biggy as far as looting is concerned filling up the inventory is easy in this sandbox, but remind you're playing a simulation. Despite my persona gripes this is still a good game, especially for explorers and looters, and I won't deny the amount of work the devs put into this, it's a monumental effort, I would not have recommended before 1.5 however I certainly recommend it now.

On my first run of CP2077 I had a major issue with the ending(s) and how you literally can’t save yourself. It made the whole thing feel retroactively pointless. But now I’ve come to realize that, while it was a risky choice, it gets the moral of the story across in a way that would have felt hollow if you could actually prevent your death. Death comes for us all, it’s the way you choose to spend the millions of moments preceding it that makes your life meaningful. Cyberpunks story isn’t meaningful because of the desperate attempts you make to extend your life in the main story. The side quests ARE the story. The relationships you build and choices you make along the way are what make your time with the game feel like it mattered.
