I bought Cyberpunk year ago. I started the game twice and i couldn't play more -no clue why. Weeks ago we met with my friend at his house. He said "(...)sorry, but i have to play this". For me it was okay, this song is pretty fine... but nothing more. After that he started playing the game(on PS4-true fan).
Weeks later, we are here. On Friday i was listening to Never Fade Away all day long, permanently on repeat.On Saturday i finished main story and side quests (~40 hours of gameplay). Today i finished recording my first ever full cover in my life. It's been years since i had this much fun playing, recording and learning mostly by ear on guitar(shout-out to Fadi Zanbouah - his cover helped me with one part of the song. Your solos are amazing bro btw! ). It's becouse of the music? Becouse of the lyrics, that are on point? I don't know. But thank you for all this great time. I do not play many games but still- ending hitted me the same way it happened with Witcher. And i already know that i'm going to play Cyberpunk likewise Witcher- at least once a year.
I recorded second guitar for chorus( you can hear it just a bit in background) but i love the way it sounds right now so i was not putting it any higher to not lost any "power" of this song! :)

Something similar happened to me like what was described in the description 😭 I first listened to Never Fade Away and like "it's alright....not really my style tho" and like a whole month later I listened to it again and it's now my favorite song 😭 I have no idea why or how my opinion whent from "its alright" to "I freakin' love this song" 🤦🏽‍♀️ Btw because of this I'm now getting a new guitar so ✨

I Think it Hitted me harder and harder with every day in cyberpunk reality. Like listening all these stories, doing all the missions and everything gived awesome power to these songs. You’re getting touched by the story and music is literally a quiet hero in background. Lyrics are doing and giving even more goosebumps. I’m just about to jump again in cyberpunk world even if i feel sad after playing this game. All the stuff i went through life hits even harder when playing this Game. Also i need so much positive vibes and well - cyberpunk is not giving it - the story is cold and sad when there are not really much jokes or funny situations etc. Not going to talk about main story and finish - i don’t like when there’s like literally no happy end at all. Still i’m absolutely in love with this Game! Happy for you and thank you for your story over there!

Also back on topic but I think what got me hooked was the lyrics and the guitar, I found myself humming the song and that's what led me to revisiting it. I don't regret it a bit.
