Not only his way of talking but Idris facial expressions are really great, the way his eyes move and his manerism tell a lot on what he's saying and how he's feeling / getting hints around himself

@@hawken796 Yeah, but to be fair, some actors don't really act that well. For example the other big name attached to this franchise. Nothing against, Keanu. I love his work, but Idris is on a complete other level. Keanu can do broody introspection where the audience projects whatever emotions he's supposed to be feeling onto him, or he can do guileless himbo. Anything in between, well the best you can say is that at least he showed up to work. That being said, I'll still watch anything he's in, while I've only seen a few of Idris' movies. Keanu the person is amazing and I like watching him, but he's barely acting.

Game would be better if they took the blank slate, mute protagonist approach to this game or at least give us multiple voice options. V should be your character but they're not. They're a customizable preset character and that just puts a stick in the mud for people like me who actually want to roleplay.

This is less CD Projekt Red and more Goodbye Kansas, they deserve the credit for showcasing this. A lot of animation/vfx studios do breakdowns, it's common practise.

Isn't it though? I certainly wish more moviemaking was done with practical effects, but even if you split the trailer into it's cinematic and technological aspects they are both great. Just as a tech demo this would be top shelf, but the great part is that they've come so far with the technology the actors don't need to overact to convey emotion. You really have to study his face to catch the subtle clues he shares (he's a spy, so he keeps his face a mask as much as possible, but the mask slips just slightly to let us know how much the betrayal hurt him).

REALLY hope in project orion this kind of skin detail/texture/modeling and lighting can be like this IN GAME. I know it might be a reach but with technology advancing & such an amazing job on cyberpunk 2077, i think a jump in character details like this would be amazing. The last of us is the only game i believe comes close to character modeling like this in game. at around 700hrs in cyberpunk and i always come back to these trailers trying to emulate the look lol great job guys

1:53 dude that part it's so difficult, modeling the long jacket and turning it into a short one, manipulating the polygons of a single mesh to create another different model is not something that is very easy to do., congratulations to all the 3D modelers, animators, texture team and rigging team who were behind the production of the DLC, beautiful game!

just completed my very first cyberpunk playthrough after phantom liberty update. have to say. one of the best over all game. Story is amazing. gameplay is great if you prefer stealth style (can't say for other options since it's boring and zero challenge when you can 2 shot enemies). i wanted more car races as side quest sadly only one car race quest made it pointless to own top tier cars, since you can just fast travel anyway.

This has probably gotta be one of the best visual behind the scene videos i've seen in sometime. Every tiny piece of detail seen in the cinematic is amazing to watch, so many frames that have the "Blink and you Miss It" moments. Alongside have BOTH Keanu reprise his role as Johnny and Idris being introduced into the universe. In the state of gaming, I'm just glad that after-all the bumps and cracks this game has endured. we're days away from playing a really anticipated expansion with everyone on set and behind the scenes making the game and cinematics know to put love and care into a product. CDPR is always a win.
