The DLC "black chrome +" is a must since it's got a few things going on that are left open and explain what is up with the linear frames.

I'll be doing a Short on it later today, and that DLC is worth getting too.

I have never even played cyberpunk/red, but I do love ttrpg’s, and I have been loving your content. This book looks awesome and I am real tempted to just throw myself at cyberpunk red.

Its 100% worth it and can be a breath of fresh air from other TTRPG's.

Zee said it very good. It really is a refreshing game, me coming from D&D a few years back.

If you want to see how it plays, I stream it with a crew over on Twitch and have past sessions on my channel. I also plan to release a video soon talking about learning it coming from a DnD background.

@@Emmerron I'll definitely check that out

Very nice review. You’re very good at getting nice concise thoughts out. I hadn’t noticed that the grenade was available at booth “C4”. So many good Easter eggs in here.
@DiceTTRPG Жыл бұрын
I did not even notice that. I legit did not notice that!

@@DiceTTRPG I’ll be honest, I sort of ignored the booth numbers figuring it was more fluff type stuff. Not sure why I even noticed it on the image you posted. Still funny though.

This, combined with Tales of The Red, are an absolute MUST for anyone who wants to run a game. It's definitely possible to run a game without either of them, but they both provide so much more variety in lore and inventory, it really helps your imagination go wild. On a side note: I wonder if they'll continue doing the monthly dlc or if they'll take a break. It would be completely understandable if they did, considering we just received a TON of content.

I read the whole damn thing until 5 am last night. I'm blown away. As a GM I only started to feel limited with my options maybe a year after playing. Now? Shit. I've got the whole world in my hands!

"Still not putting it here We still aren't jerks" Is that really for you to judge, 🎲? More seriously, I appreciate the concise yet broad review. I will get the book soon, but I have no chance of making time for reading it this week.

Wanted to keep it to the point. It's hard not to say the book had nothing wrong with it, it's really well done. I'll also keep putting out the previews too up until the 1st.

i have a red campaign we started where i play a tech, and I was looking to make a mech/power armor suit out of a linear frame and adapting nomad vehicle upgrades, so the new frames are very exciting. Asking for my dm, how would you balance tech invention upgrading linear frames to have armor and weapons?
@DiceTTRPG Жыл бұрын
They already do balance out using certain weapons. But for the frames themselves packing weapons, honestly, make them more expensive and keep in mind the scarcity of things in the world. There is a difference in linear frames and what they do and just straight power armor.
@captaincomfycactus Жыл бұрын
@@DiceTTRPG Thanks for the reply! ill be sure to work out the cost and rarity of everything.
@DiceTTRPG Жыл бұрын
Remember to, something like a Linear Frame or anything really considered 'rare' or 'unique' are gonna catch eyes. You'll have to deal with people trying to take it from you, etc. Also walking down the street in something like a linear frame loaded with weapons won't fly well in certain areas of the city. It's post-war after all.

thanks for the review! I really enjoyed your little teasers over the past days. Will you also get yourself a printed copy?
@DiceTTRPG Жыл бұрын
Yep, I love having physical copies of books over digital usually. But Black Chrome is a book I HIGHLY recommend having a digital copy of too even if you own the physical book. That PDF hyperlink setup in it is too good to not use.
