If it’s a 250kw charger, you don’t have to worry about spacing. Also your charge speed (mi/hr) will be far less than your S because it’s less efficient. So it gets less range per kw.

2:40 You should really get comfortable with looking at that backup camera as you can see right where the curb is. Back up as close as you can. Tip: play and edge backing up and getting out and looking. Then go in and look at the backup camera and memorize the key spots to look at so you can duplicate it. ALSO does the left 'birdseye' view of that screen give you solid information. On our Tesla with the USS we can tell almost exactly how far we are in backing up (ie. I go 12"-15") ... but you should be able to use context clues.

4:15 there is some confusion here because at a V3 Supercharger you do not care if you are parked next to someone as the pedestals are not paired. That is V2 and below.

great video! the rule of thumb I tell people is EV's are 1/3rd the cost of gas on suppercharging, and 1/10th the cost at home. I have an EV tariff where if I charge from 11pm to 7am it comes out to be 1/40th the cost of gas.

1/3? At superchargers? For my 2017 model x 100d it’s about 80% the cost to a similar suv . If I drove it 55 maybe I might hit 50% . But driving 70 to 80 mph and supercharger use is not really worth it to me with time waiting to charge. Now my home charger at 2.5 cents at night is where it is at! Less than 10 percent the most. Superchargers years ago were a lot more inexpensive. Today they’re on average almost twice as much than what they were four years ago. But I 100% agree that home charging is where it’s at.

@@roydelpozo4816 i have a model 3, the worst I’ve had to pay is 1/3, it’s usually come out to 1/4 the price of gas, but I use my 1/40th the price of gas at home 99% of the time, the solar panels I just got brings it down to 1/400th the cost of gas when there is sun

@@Beakerzor So you must have some really expensive gas. I can go 400 miles in my 2005 dodge hemi wagon ( still own but barely drive it since i got the teslas) (20 gallons at 20mpg at 75 to 80 MPH) for about 50 dollars ( really alot less right now as gas here in OK is 2.19 or so). If i drive my same 75 to 80 on my x 100d i get 200 miles of range ( rated at 270 if managed to drive 55 but also about 10% degradation) . The average OK supercharger is .35 a KW. Two recharges to make 400 miles would cost 70 dollars. Actually more expensive as you can see. And this is a 20 year old car comparison. It gets worse if i compare it to newer cars with better fuel efficiency. Now those same 400 miles using home charging only cost me 5 dollars ( 2.5kw for 200 KW). That is what made me a convert to Electric back in 2016 with our model s and our 17 x. They are totally worthless in the market today with depreciation and newer electrics being so cheap so we will drive them till they die. But we love our "worthless" cars. We have had no major issues and love them . That said i guess newer cars much be so much better on both the gas and electric spectrum. My X at 80 MPH averages about 450 to 500. My s 350 to 425. My wifes new at the time 22 M3P seems to do about 325 to 350 at the same 80. with those numbers the less than gas argument makes more sense. But those of us with older cars don't have a chance to beat Gas at highway speeds. The newer ones do better but still what do i compare a model 3 performance too? A BMW m3? so maybe 25MPG? Still too close for cost traveling. But a killer savings with home charging. No denying that for anyone that can do math. I just don't see how apt dwellers using the supercharger think there is savings. Unless they got time of day rates are charging when the rate is 10 cents, we have one of those in OKC where the rate is 10 cents from 10 pm to 6 am i think at my last check.

You are comparing it with Nissan Morano. Compare it with at least V8 to match how and torque . You will end up paying $90 to fill. Also you barely need to charge at super charger, charge at home for .17 or .14 or even better if you have nights free electric plan.

Your right about the cost but the V8 is going to cost less toured the end. Your going to pay more with more stops. 80 dollars will get you about 4 to 5 hundred miles and in the cyber truck you will pay that after three stops.

Imagine being this bad at driving and understanding how electric charging works and running a channel called MyGadgetsWorld. Bigger battery = more kWh. So same 250kW charger on bigger kWh battery means less "mi/hr" charge speed. Is like grade school science class dimensional analysis. Also just use your mirrors and back it in bro, it ain't all that. Also a V8 engine costs $80. Do pray tell what your sources are on that number. That came straight from the down-under, if you catch my drift. I have a '73 Camaro which has a V8. It also has an 18gal tank, so right now it costs about $50 to fill. V8 not $80. Weird, I know.

How many of you realize ..... charging a lithium battery typically occurs at about 90% efficiency. That means, if you charge it at 250kW, then your battery is going to be dissipating 25kW of heat. That's TEN 2500W heaters going at full blast. All of that heat cooking your battery, which being mainly non-metal, is not so great at dissipating heat. Do you really really think that that is a good idea?
