I figured that I should put up a video of a Remote/HAW strobe power supply's patterns. So these are them. All apologies for the messy set up, but this was on a whim.

I don't really much care which flash pattern I use on my pierce fire engine BUT I do appreciate you showing them AND how to change the patterns - this is an old unit just like I bought today and I have the wires but no instructions. FYI I do recommend that you take your wiring AND WPS system with you to the auto shop (I recommend that you go to somewhere like NAPA and not a discount house) the pins you will need to make the plugs with are darn near impossible to locate because they are much smaller than the normal pin and connectors. OR you can look on Ebay. AMAZON did not have them. I paid .75 cents per pin. they come as individuals. packs of 20 and boxes of 100 so be sure they are the right size the first time. The other way (which I finally gave up today and did was to take apart an old 12 pin connector from WHELEN to get the pins. FINALLY do not crimp they will not work worth a darn since the pines and wire are so small. I silver soldered my wire and pins together assembled the plug, and before assembly I filled the MALE sockets (usually you would do this to the female but WHELEN is backwards) with dielectric grease to keep out water, birds and rat turds out ;-p. There are very few trouble shooting tips on line as you mentioned. For those of you that do not know the strobe light controller for WHELEN will "self fail" if there is a short so if you do not have everything working here is what you do. 1] remove all the 3 wire plugs - normal should be red, black, white in that order then power up the box BUT do not connect the ground to the chassis or metal -yet- 2] plug in first 3 wire plug to the #1 socket and then ground if it flashes then do the same thing for each set of 3 wire plugs 1 at a time using ONLY the first female connector. WHY? Well you will then know you have a good plug location on the box and any light set that does not fire off tells you you have an open in the line. Now you have a place to start looking for the short. BUT if you were to plug in all the connectors and there is a short nothing will work since the WPS box self protects. I know I have written a long story here but I hope that if it save just 1 person from going through all the hell I went through to get to this point it is worth it. By the way the box shown is about 15 years old mine was about 20 and died. they should last 10 to 15 years if taken care of or more. needles to say mine was not. one finale thing CHECK YOUR FUSE FIRST! It will be wither a 10 or 20 amp fuse NOTHING more. Hint a 2 socket - 3 wire plug is a 10 amp and all else are 15 amp fuses. Do not worry if you buy a 6 or 8 socket unit (a 6 or 8 socket unit will normally have 2 each 10 amp fuses 1 for each 3 or 4 sockets) Good luck and have fun REMEMBER THESE THINGS MAY ONLY TAKE IN 10 TO 14.5 AMPS BUT IT WILL KNOCK YOU ON YOUR ASS OF YOU DO NOT ALLOW 10 MINUTES AFTER UNPLUGGING EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU TOUCH ANY WIRES, PLUGS, OR SOCKETS

Strobe lights on their own are cool but I never cared for them as use in Emergency Warning Lights. I also hate LEDS as Emergency Warning Lights. For lightbars and such I wish they would have stayed with the rotating parabolic reflectors if not the sealed beams. Those were the best and wicked cool in fog, rain, snow, and night time.

I had a friend of mine make a couple plugs for them, I suggest taking it to an auto parts store and seeing what they say.

If you're going to criticize at least try to not sound like a dick and post said info if it means that much to you.

More generally, just the positive power source. But yes.

Yes. Cause my STL 80 power supply has 4 outlets wires and one outlet power supply wire. So the power wire I touch the yellow and red?
