Thanks for this wonderful video. I am soon to turn71 and I am enjoying making videos myself often with cycle trips here in the middle of England. The two videos I have watched from Beer to Looe, took me straight back to my teenage over 50 years ago when, along with three other friends we did a cycle tour from Coventry around Cornwall and Devon and back up to Coventry in two weeks in the mid-1960s. We enjoyed it so much one year, we did exactly the same thing again the next year. We didn’t camp but stayed at youth hostels and your shots in Belvedere forest brought back the exact memories from all those years ago. Our route back then was the reverse way round, we went to North Devon and Cornwall first and then crossed Dartmoor down to a youth hostel in Beer and then back north to Cheddar and then via the Cotswolds to Coventry. I did not even take a simple still camera in those days so to make videos is such great fun today. I am looking at your videography and editing and picking up hints as we all learn these skills together. Great work. Well done.

Thank you, Leo! Do head out! It is nice to do Solo trips sometimes as you are free to control the pace, the food, the destination and time for self-reflection... :)

Absolutely love your videos. You really get across the joy and freedom of a bicycle tour, and show the little details that make them so enticing and fun. I’m really looking forward to much more from you and following your adventures. You’re an inspiration for my own videos, and the further bicycle journeys I hope to take. Thank you. Your ultralight camping setup is impressive. I, too, love to go ultralight. I just wonder how it holds up in the heavy rain and winds of Britain. Could be some sketchy nights there. How are your Bedrock sandals for touring? Don’t your feet get cold at times? (I also have them and use them for as much of the year as I can, but some days cycling might make me want to take some quick drying toe socks. By the way, are you from Malaysia or Singapore? My partner is from Malaysia, and we’re planning on traveling by bicycle together!

Hi Miguel ☺️ thank you for the kind words! Whilst editing these videos, they brought back good memories and emotions that I felt at the time. Very glad that I documented these. The tarp setup had been great for light weather. I was very lucky to have dry spells when I decided to camp out during that week. If the weather isn't great, I might stay put by the bus stop/town hall or seek shelter from a "Warmshower" host nearby. I will stick to a tent for long cycling trips, feels more secure with better sleep too 😅. My front basket bag somehow managed to keep the things inside dry after a downpour, I supposed I need wax it every so often. The back holster is a dry bag, so it will be bone dry. One thing I wish to have is the mudguards which I had taken off during my bike makeover. Bedrock sandals is legendary! My toes can probably make it till 10°C, before they start feeling numb! As you can see, on some occasions, I wore the toe socks my girlfriend got me from Japan. Quick dry toe socks is probably a better shout, I might consider your idea next time 😉. You're right! I'm from Sarawak, Malaysia ✌️ nice to hear that you have connection there too. Too bad I don't know much cycle routes in West Malaysia. I know of one avid cyclist who has been doing lots of bikepacking trips there. I link his blog below: ridingtales.com/ Nice to meet you, Miguel 👌I came across your story, don't give up and have faith 🤗

Just came across your channel and absolutely love the relaxed vibe of your videos! What camera do you use? Keep up the good work :)

Thanks Ceri! Likewise to your channel, you have done lots of microadventures lately 🤘 I use Fujifilm X-T2 for my recent cycling videos, coupled with the kit lens 18-55mm and a wide angle lens. I managed to get them second hand from mpb as this particular brand costs an earth brand new. It is great for stills, but not so efficient when it comes to shooting film as I wish there is a big RED button for it 😅 On the other hand, the action wide angle shots are from GoPro.

What is the front bag you use?

Hey David, it's the Wizard Works Alakazam basket bag I believe. It is made to fit the geometry of the Wald 137/139 basket
