Excellent 2 videos you’ve produced. I watched both of these back to back. Nice to see you’ve done another European adventure. Though hats off to you, this one seems a bit harder as you’ve got the Alps to contend with. Great footage of lake Lucerne, We stayed in a campsite right next to where you crossed on the ferry, that was this year (June) . Must of felt great completing the St. Gottard Pass especially as it’s all down hill to Milan after that! I’ve done it by car and that was hard enough … Best of luck with your next adventure. Look forward to watching more .

Thank you! I'm happy you enjoyed watching both of the videos :) It was a bit tougher this time round haha! Lake Lurlcern is breathtaking to go through, so I can imagine you also had a great time there. Haha, the pass was pretty tough, but also some of my favourite days on a bike :) Thank you for watching.

Another great video 🚵♂️👍, and seeing it again reminded me of when I was there many years ago 😀 So now you've found out that the Gotthard got hard after half way up (not that the first half is easy with panniers! ) Well done 👏🚴♂️👍

Another great video. Switzerland looked absolutely amazing. Great job getting up those hills. The scenery looked incredible. Unfortunately more gnarly rain. Look forward to more adventures in the future.

Thank you :) Switzerland was amazing to cycle through! Around every corner it looked like you was in a postcard! Haha, I had a fair bit of rain and thunder on this trip, but I survived to tell the tale! I have some cool plans for next year, which I will share with everyone soon :)

@@Geocycling1993 I bicycle toured from Bilbao Spain to Saint Malo last summer. Really enjoyed it apart from the hills in Spain. Hopefully I have time this year for an adventure. By the way how much did it cost to fly your bike back ?
@Geocycling19939 ай бұрын
That sounds like a really cool trip! I have heard that the hills in Spain can be tough, especially with the heat on top of that. I flew with Easy Jet from Milan to Gatwick and paid £271 for a one way flight. I can't remember exactly, but it was about an extra £100 for the bike itself and I paid for extra baggage as well for my panniers :) I shoved bits like my bike helmet and one of the panniers in the bike box although you're not supposed to.

Great videos. I'm planning to head through that way next year. Not sure if this is behind the 8 ball, I know you rotated your handlebars to improve your fit, i also note your stem is pointing down, if you take the stem off (have to take your handlebars off as well) and rotate it 180 degrees, you will also gain height. With a 5mm allen key and a bit of work re wrapping your bars, you can move the controls toward you as well, result in in a closer position, and then the drops can be rotated back to a useful position. Having said all that, you may have had a bike fit since this video. :)

Thank you so much for your helpful advice! When I got back I ordered a raised and shorter stem which worked wonders for me 🙂 I'm now doing an around the world trip and I haven't had any numbness or discomfort in my hands or back 🙂 Best of luck with your adventure next year, it's an amazing experience going through the alps. The scenery and the fellow cyclists really make for a wonderful experience 🙂

Hi just watched this, and was wondering what bike you used, and where you found all the campsite information, deffo interested in doing something similar.
@Geocycling19936 ай бұрын
The bike I'm using is a Trek 520, unfortunately they are no longer made, but can be bought at a good price used! In terms of campsites, Google maps is your friend, just type in "campsite" into the search bar and it will show you the locations of places to stay. I would check the recent reviews to see if it is still open! You can also call ahead if this will give you confidence in knowing there is space for you, although they are not the best at answering their phones haha.
