John, make sure your Auto Volume Control is set to 4 under the sound tab and you will notice a huge increase in the sound; also play with the built in EQ and make a custom one and your sound will be even better. Did this on my 24 CVO RG and it’s SO LOUD!!!!!!!

Great video always cool to see Rob as well! I never thought I wanted audio on a bike until I got a road glide. I definitely would like louder than stock speakers now.

Great content. Not surprised you upgraded the sound. This is a common task for owners of the new 2024's. I can tell you that I could not hear the sound when traveling as slow as 30-40 mph. Like yourself I upgraded my amp/speakers at a cost that I was not prepared for when purchasing the bike. The sound is on these models is so poor that it is borderline irresponsible of Harley Davidson to install them on their bikes. Your thoughts?

Have you checked the settings in your radio? I know at 90 I can hear my radio no problem. Stock 22 sgst

What is the stock amp output and what is the new amp output and also what is the stock speaker amperage and what is the new speaker amperage

Checkout Volunteer Audio, they actually tested the output on the new 24's and it was ridiculously low. They do a system for new 24's that is very competitively priced and its all plug and play, well worth a look

Thanks for the video…trying to decide what upgrade for my ‘24 RG because you are right, the stock speakers are useless. So, no need to get Harley to flash the system after the install?

John, I love your upgrades on your channel, but it seems like a indictment of Harley Davidson for the apparent sub standard stock audio, suspension, seats, windscreens, lighting, engine power, etc. Seems like you need to upgrade these things to get a decent bike after spending $30k+ out the door. Am I wrong here?

My friend, nothing has changed. We have always did those upgrades on all of the bikes. Nothing new. But in comparison, the 2024 models are light years better than the previous models

Seems like? Yes Harley is again bitting the hand that feeds it! These are very nice bikes indeed. That said the marketing is just as described. The audio system is junk, sad for a $30,000 toy. I have purchased 6 new Harleys in my life. Tiring of being treated like a mark, I purchased a BMW Transcontinental. I took a new 2024 Road Glide on a test drive, I may end up purchasing one. Because Harley has “always” treated their customers like this comes as no comfort to me.

Nice easy install, I like that. I'm curious how many Watts from the stock amp? And how many Watts from the stage 2 amp?

I believe stock is 2x 80 watts, stage 2 is 2x 125 watts. The amp is a 4-channel 500 watts amp.

I hate to inform you but the Hertz 165neo is a far superior speaker. I took out of my cvo road glide what you just put in. Im looking forward to Volunteer Audio coming out with a 1000 watt amp that also will be far superior to anything that Rockford puts out. Not trying to be a buzz kill, but I would have gone a different route.

You may need to have the bike flashed by Harley Davidson to ensure the system is updated properly when upgrading the audio. It should take them several minutes to do so. Looks great brother. 🤙🏾

Recently bought the Rockford Fosgate Primary 500 watt Amplifier for my 2024 Roadglide. $600.. plus dollars. I feel totally robbed my Harley/Rockford Fosgate. Thia Amplifier isn't even pushing my two fairing mounted 6.5 Hertz mille pros. Disappointment level is beyond words at the moment.

It’s not a great upgrade if you using full face helmet. Better to use your edge for much better sound. I have this system on my Cvo st and sound is muffled on a full face. But a Cardo and enjoy the music that way for cheaper and you don’t have to by any hacks to have CarPlay and you have comms.

Bummer re the stock audio. 2016 SGS w/stock audio, 4” windscreen, full face helmet, 70 mph, 3/4 volume….clear as a bell! I think I got lucky. 🤞

I have a 2019 RGS and stock audio sucks at anything over 50/60mph... I had to add an amp and upgrade my speakers to hear clearly at 80mph....I think someone must have upgraded your bike before you got it as you cannot hear a stock system especially with a 4" windscreen at 60mph!
