[ Genshin Impact ] 'Winds of Time' - Venti Fan Animation

Its been a while!
For this animation I wanted to explore ventis past and how the weight of time has followed him into his present!
I wanted to practice a lot of different things for this animation, mainly compositing and backgrounds I feel I have learnt a lot while making it!

Recalling how many friends Venti has already lost really makes his attempt to save Dvalin before the people of Mondstadt finally gave up and just killed him even more emotional. He'd likely only just woken up not long before when we stumbled upon him trying to soothe Dvalin in the woods. Imagine going into a 500 year slumber and awaking to see that the town you adore and one of your few living friends at odds with each other, on the verge of wiping each other out. Add in the fact that the final battle is essentially just the original fight for Mondstadt all over again but with a much better outcome.

Honestly wish this is how the anime comes out. Putting aside all grand comments about how great this is though, It’s kind of a shame how some people always joke about Venti being that one drunkard who doesn’t help much of any. Venti is very popular, and even well liked, but his past pains are what made him into who he is now. His personality is supposed to act like a joke/like he’s a kid until you learn more about him and truly understand what he went through. He’s centuries old, having done everything he can to protect his people and make them happy. He only drinks because it’s a coping mechanism to try and forget the painful memories of his past. He lost his best friend after all. I hope people will look past his charade and see him for who he really is as a person. Keep up the amazing work, and can’t wait to see the next project that’s released. Remember to take a break and rest.

I love this so much. I adore Venti. I sincerely wish that the Nameless Bard could have lived. It's such a shame that there aren't more stories on the Old Mondstadt crew, especially ones where Nameless Bard lives, and he and Venti are essentially twins/doppelgangers lol I just love them, and it hurts to see Venti sad and missing his friend. I like to believe that the Old Mond crew was like a found family to Venti. I imagine it hurts even more for him to see his friend isn't as remembered as he should have been.

You know, I just realized that the nameless bard doesn’t have a window of his own. The window is depicting the Anemo Archon, Barbatos not the bard who lead the charge against tyranny, which must be making Venti feel worse.

it’s so beautiful it brought a tear to my eye🥹 the sequence 0:37-0:47 really blew my mind with how the sun seemed to rise and fall between each scene-it was so pretty this animation really captures the melancholy of Venti’s past, and how time will never stop for anyone. the sun will rise and fall again no matter past regrets. it’s hard to imagine just a single person has made such a well thought out and detailed masterpiece. kudos to you!
