Just after the Tracklocross Worlds event in Japan a few of us decided to ride back to Tokyo from Yamanashi. The route was about and 80 miles with 3,500ft of descending in the first half of the ride. It was some of the most beautiful hill bombing I've ever experienced. I'd 100% do it again, and again. Here's the strava: / strava .

Had the pleasure to experience this earlier this year, in May. First cycling all the way from Tokyo to Hiroshima and after that a small tour around Fuji. Part from Lake Yamanaka to Odawara was pure flight. Cheers.

Flight are one thing but I found Japan, even Tokyo, more affordable than most of Europe, both food and lodging. Amazing country and people too.

@@oscar5423 maybe your friend doesn't speak japanese and that business owner doesn't speak english. Which is a very common situation here. If I go to english speaker country but I can only speak Melayu, pretty sure they will reject me. Not every inconvenience is related to racism and skin color, sometimes it's just a misunderstanding.
