Very nice ride, Andrew. I didn't know Corpus was this attractive. And it's not overcrowded either. This looks so much like the west coast of Florida in places. Definitely now on my bucket list. You should checkout the outskirts of Corpus to see what the countryside looks like. The King Ranch is located out there. Gord

I’m a fan of corpus just because I love the beach. The waterfront is gorgeous and awe inspiring but the rest of the city is not as inspiring. But wow, the neighborhoods around the water are amazing. I’ve taken just about every route to the beach which would be considered the corpus countryside and there is one word to describe it… FLAT. Super flat. Extremely flat. You would think the earth is flat lol. Lots of wind turbines and farms. The coast has wetlands, sand dunes and beautiful oak lands and of course the ocean.

@@cyclingtexas1670 Thanks Andrew. That's right, I now remember seeing some video of our being really flat, as you say. I liked the downtown because it looked clean with not too much traffic around. Yes, the beaches are very beautiful. It makes sense that people would build their multi-million dollar homes there. The only problem with putting allot of money in such homes that close to the water, is the hurricane risk... about once every ten to twenty years. What the wind doesn't destroy, the storm surge does. Then it takes about a decade for the trees to recover or be replaced and grow up. In the mean time the whole area looks war torn. Gord

I was just there the Saturday before doing the Conquer the Coast ride! 66 miles around Corpus Christi bay. Pretty challenging ride even though it's pretty flat with the exception of the bridges the route goes over. I uploaded the video I did of it on my channel a couple of days ago if you're interested. That was my first time riding in the Corpus area.

@@fitnessandthings if you’re looking for another cool ride in the corpus area, Rockport and Fulton have a beautiful low traffic waterfront road to checkout. You can cross the Copano Bay Bridge as well.
