Very nice. Few questions. How did you plan your itinerary? (Which towns to stay, length of the trip, etc.) 2. Did you book lodging ahead of time? Did every town you stayed had hotels? Any issues getting hotels is super small towns? 3. Did the app you use is in English? 4. Did you had any mechanical problems with the bike and if so was the rental company helpful? 5. Which part of the route was the most beautiful? (Since I don't have 16 days to ride). Thank you.

I got some ideas from forums and adjusted the itinerary to my plans according to elevations which I got from gronze site. 2. Yes. I made sure the towns I chose had lodging and restaurants 3. Yes I used Buen Camino app. 4. Luckily no serious mechanical problems just used up all my brake pads which I replaced as the rental company gave me a spare set.

Nice! I did the Frances last year by bike, going back in May, Because of some injuries and lack of fitness, some friends were riding ebikes this time. It looks like you had ebikes. Did you have trouble finding places to charge it? We're staying largely in hotels, but the batteries are not removable.
@michagrech9 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes we had e-bikes. We stayed in various places which I pre-book and let them know that we have e-bikes to store and charge. No one ever turned us down, however, I feel better informing them before.

Hi..liked the video. I see you rented the bikes. How many miles a day were you doing?...Did you do it on your own or go with one of the many companies?.Did you stay in hotels or the hostels?...How often did you take a day off to spend time in the local area? I got a quote for over 4000 Euros for a 23 day trip..many of the days were only 20-30 kms.. A lot of questions...but would appreciate your feed back.
@michagrech Жыл бұрын
Hi Martin. Yes we rented the bikes and planned our own Camino spread over 16 days of cycling averaging 60 kms a day. No rest days as we always arrived in good time to have a look around the town/city we were staying at. You don’t need a company as there’s so much material on the web to help you plan it. We stayed mainly in small hotels as did not want any Covid issues by sharing bedrooms. If you want more help you can email me on michagrech@gmail.com. I can share any material I have.

@michagrech2 жыл бұрын
Hi. I cycled the Frances in 2014 and the Portuguese in 2016 so I wanted a new route. Unfortunately the Frances has become too busy. The last day of the Norte is on the Frances route and I found it too busy now. From the three I think this is the most beautiful and has the most hills!! I loved it. Next year I will do the Primitivo hopefully which is in the same area.

@@michagrech Thank you so much for you'r quick answer! As far as difficulty, how difficult did the heels make it compared to the frances one?
