Thumbs up just for the sheer bravery of driving around in NYC on a bike. Awesome vid btw. I love NYC vids in general, and as a fellow biker it was cool to watch, makes the viewer feel like they're there. I have a GoPro and head mount as well. I'm inspired to try to get some good vids driving around here in Boca Raton, south Florida. :)

In Connecticut we have many miles of bike trails where the old railroad tracks were.. They have even rebuild the single track bridges over streams and rivers.... I've ridden many, many miles in the woods and towns around the State.. Where you are riding on those double white lines, is that where the old tracks were? New York is keeping up with what people are looking for... Its amazing..

I'm not sure where the old tracks were that you might have seen in the video. They might have been tracks New York is a city with a lot of history.

Does anyone mind explaining to me where exactly is Long Island ? And its not the Same as Staten Island right ? And how far is from the city and how to get there. Im from L.A i visit N.Y once if i ever go again i wanna go to staten and long island

Long Island would be about 30 minutes (no traffic!) from New York City. You can get there by either Grand Central Parkway or the Long Island Expressway. Also, the Long Island Railroad (about 40 minutes). Long Island is east of New York City. Staten Island is one of the five boroughs of New York City. That would be the southern part of the New York City map. You could get to Staten Island by the Staten Island ferry at the southern tip of Manhattan. That ferry trip would about 25 minutes. Or take the Verrazzano - Narrows Bridge by way of Brooklyn. Depending on traffic it could take you about 45 minutes to get to Staten Island from Manhattan.

Are you using a head strap mount? Or have you mounted the GoPro on a cap or something?

actionkid105 Oh I see, and do you use an external mic?

No I don’t. In order to use an external mic with any GoPro newer than the HERO4 series it requires an adapter that’s awkward to carry around.
