The last few days have been hot and humid so I decide to head out on my bike early to beat the heat. As is often the case, I'm not sure where I am going as I leave the house but as I ride, the route slowly comes into focus.
In the end I decide to follow what I refer to as the "Buck Bay Road Loop", a peaceful 42 km ride through forest, marshes, farm fields and Canadian Shield rock outcrops. On this route I follow the K&P Trail north past Tichborne to Bradshaw Road. I follow Bradshaw Road briefly eastward to Bob's Lake Road and head south. Eventually I reach Buck Bay Road and follow it until it's end at Westport (or Godfrey) Road. From here I head east to Hwy 38 and home.

Another beautiful video to savour! Thank you! Very impressive cinematography Todd. Nice thumbnail as well. Thumbnails look great collectively, when viewed on your channel home page. I can see why this trek, was so enjoyable for you. Just amazing weather, and scenery. I am confident, we will get heavy rains before November. Such a wonderful mid-week treat to enjoy! Thank you! Cheers, Pat

Thanks Pat! Always tricky filming on a bike. A couple clips were too shaky and I should have removed them but I thought they showed a little of the ‘movement experience’ I guess. But yes it was a very pleasant ride. I hope you are right about the rain. Strange during this summer how humid it has been too. I remember in the 70s getting maybe a week or two of high humidity but I think we have had at least a months worth this summer.

I just finished my bicycle/camping tour on that route on the K&P from Kingston to Sharbot Lake. Then the Trans Canada Trail, Sharbot Lake to Tweed. Between Sharbot Lake and Kaladar there were a few flooded sections on the trail. Got back home last Sunday, had an amazing time. Great video, enjoyed watching.

Thanks Reg! Glad you had a great time on your trip! Sounds like a lot of fun. I ran into that lady with her two horses going across Canada a few weeks ago on the Cat Trail. She up along Georgian Bay now I think. A lot of hard work there. Anyhow glad you got your adventure in. 😊 for another year. My adventures seem to be few and far between now. 😂

We did enjoy, especially the stand of jerusalem artichoke in the wild, which is a first. They dont seem to naturalize in the West.

Ahh. Good spotting on your behalf. I thought the same when I found them ( I.e. just how healthy they looked). Funny why they don’t naturalize out there.
