The last few days have been hot and humid so I decide to head out on my bike early to beat the heat. As is often the case, I'm not sure where I am going as I leave the house but as I ride, the route slowly comes into focus.
In the end I decide to follow what I refer to as the "Buck Bay Road Loop", a peaceful 42 km ride through forest, marshes, farm fields and Canadian Shield rock outcrops. On this route I follow the K&P Trail north past Tichborne to Bradshaw Road. I follow Bradshaw Road briefly eastward to Bob's Lake Road and head south. Eventually I reach Buck Bay Road and follow it until it's end at Westport (or Godfrey) Road. From here I head east to Hwy 38 and home.
