Hey Johnny! I am the guy who recommended you try out Mendelsteinpass near Bozen on Strava, I spent some time living in Taipei now live in Munich and love your content. I really had to sympathize with you, mentioning the over 1,000 meters of climbing before you hit the cafe - I was absolutely dying before I even saw the switch backs. I just got back from Mallorca and very much recommend you visit there next time you are in Europe!

I did a climb in Colombia and I was stopping every kilometer also. Between the altitude ( I came from Florida) and the grade I was a hurting pup. Zone 1 power and zone 4 HR. I’m glad I’m not the only one

Amazing ride and scenery, Stelio is a must 🤩 hopefully I’ll get it done in ‘25 When you’ll be in 🇫🇷, I do recommend (but not only) Lautaret and Galibier which are « Tour de France » classical passes! The surface of the road in France is much better than the chaotique one I’ve seen here 😱 Another point, there is an agenda in summer when the main pass roads are closed to motorbike and cars, 1day/pass, check this out as it will change your experience (even as I understand you love sport cars😂) Thanks for your content

I’d love to ride in France one day. People have warned me that the drivers in France are not very friendly towards cyclists. Has this also been your experience?
@philippedarses29 күн бұрын
@ yes definitely true, this is why I recommend to go for the special « no car » days for the famous passes Another spot in Europe is Spain which his very bike friendly with amazing roads in Andalousia for instance

@@JohnnyZeeLee I live in London and have cycled in France many times and have to remark that is not true . As there is a long tradition of cycling and respect for cyclist in France, drivers , in general, almost always give cyclists plenty of leeway and also give a 'gentle ' been when coming up behind you.

You have amazing content man. Thanks for making these. I always wondered how to get to the Dolomites with my bike. Now I know. Was this harder than anything you've climbed in Asia?
@JohnnyZeeLee Жыл бұрын
This climb was super hard for me this day…but actually just realized my power meter is acting strange. I can’t answer your question until I get a chance to do it again 😀 but I don’t think so. I’ve done some really tough climbs in Asia.

What up bro, what made you pick that particular pass? I’m looking to plan a trip next year, late Oct or early Nov. I’ll most likely will be coming from chiang mai Thailand
@JohnnyZeeLee4 ай бұрын
It’s pretty famous so I’ve wanted to go there for a long time. Jaufenpass was also epic. It might be super cold at the top in November. It’s one of the highest mountain passes in Europe

@JohnnyZeeLee I've seen you take the bike in a box luggage. Why not just put you bike on a train
@JohnnyZeeLee2 ай бұрын
@ the box is how I flew to Europe with my bike so I need to take it with me wherever I go. I also don’t think you’re allowed to take a bike on the train not packed. Even if you were allowed, it wouldn’t make it any easier, in fact it would just increase the chance of damage
