Bike touring is one of the best ways of traveling. Slow enough to soak everything in and fast enough to get places. I'm bike touring here in Florida, really enjoying. Heading out another bike trip next week. Poland looks really nice. I'm originally from Estonia.

Great video, can you tell us more about your expedition gear please. Regards from Ireland.
@BetweenWheels3 жыл бұрын
Hello to Ireland 💚 Artur and I used to live for many years in Ireland actually. We met in Dublin, Temple Bar 😀! Of course lets go through the main gear we use! Both of our bikes are Vsf Fahrradmanufaktur tx-400. We love them and didnt have any major problems during the last 9000 kms we have done on them. My panniers are Ortlieb classic roller/back roller. Arturs bags are Crosso, a Polish brand. We are both happy with the panniers. However, the Ortlieb classic needs some attention as the screws fall off. Our tent, which we actually bought during this tour is MSR Elixir 3. Its amazing! Very spacious, great porch and we love it that its possible to set up the fly or mash separately. It feels very sturdy as well. The last tent we had was Naturehike with a nylon fly, that broke quite fast. We use Sea to Summit 3 season sleeping mats model S.I, sleeping bags are Cumulus Light line 400 down & liners from Sea to Summit Thermolite Reactor. We use a multifuel stove MSR Dragonfly. There will definitely be a gear review soon. Let me know if you have anything specific you would like me to go into detail. Have a great Sunday! Regards, Elena

Thanks so much. How often did you have to go on dangerously busy roads? How were Poles about sharing the road? I want to do a solo bike tour in northern Poland. Having cycled in the US and Sweden I worry about butt head car drivers not willing to share.
@BetweenWheels3 жыл бұрын
We cycled in quite remote areas in the south of Poland. Often there were hardly any cars for most of the day. When we cycled through cities there werent really any cycle paths so we ended up cycling on the main road a few times. I never felt that the road and drivers were dangerous or coming too close to us. Can really just say positive things. Im not too sure though about the north of Poland though. Generally I would recommend avoiding main roads as its never nice to cycle on them, but unfortunately its not always possible. P.s. we just went on holidays to Gdank and absolutely looooved it. If you happen to get close definitely stop by. Its so beautiful there! Hope you have a wonderful trip and let me know should you have more questions about cycling in Poland. Best regards, Elena
