Have any of you guys cycled the Shimanami Kaido? What was your experience like? The hills were intense af but I definitely think the views were worth the struggle and would love to do it again!! 😍🗾✨

I did it in August last year over 2 days after climbing Mt Fuji and stayed at Suminoe ryokan for the night. It was my favourite experience of the trip. Just beware that everything closes early on the islands.

Easily one of my favourite days of the cycle; the Inland Sea is basically one big detox give how stunning it is. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to challenge themselves for the day while they're in Japan (it's a lot more fun than climbing Mount Fuji as well).

I haven't watched your videos in like 2 years and I've noticed your video editing has really improved a lot. The background music you use isn't always the same (doesn't sound so repetitive), it doesn't sound like one of those songs all youtubers use, the title illustrations and animations are very professional, and lastly footage is always very clear. I love the fact that you've been doing this for so long and have not changed that much, you're still doing this for fun. Unlike a lot of youtubers that end up gaining a following and only think of it as a job and not as something fun to do, making their content less personal. You've done well Sharla! :)

We rode from Imabari - 56.1km over two days. From Ikuchijima (4th Island from Imabari) we caught a ferry. Sore legs- yes, sore bum - most definitely, worth it? - without a doubt. One day I will return and do the final piece that we haven’t ridden. Definitely one of my favourite things I’ve experienced in Japan. Would highly recommend over two or even three days to stop at many cool places along the way or take in the scenery!
