Man I know I'm late to the party but I recently visited the hill country (Fredericksburg) for the 1st time being from Houston and I fell in love. Being an avid bike rider, this was a blessin! Just you and the mountains, thanks for the views this is def on my bucket list now ❤️

Thanks for watching! This place is an amazing place to ride. Definitely would recommend if you get the chance worth the 4-5 hour drive. Fredericksburg is beautiful but nowhere near as rugged and hilly near here in Vanderpool.

I'm going to be quite frank with you! The Texas Hill Country is not the Texas Alps! That title would go to the area around Alpine and the Davis Mountains in Far West Texas! Plus the areas you're showing in the video, around Bandera area, looks more like areas in West Virginia and eastern Tennessee than it does anywhere in the jagged Swiss Alps! Plus that scenic overlook at 6:28 reminded me of scenic overlooks in places like western North Carolina in the Blue Ridge Mtns as well as around Roanoke, VA.
