Thanks Mike. I did this in 2021 and it was a lot harder to actually plot a route because of the restrictions. Its a shame I missed so much out. But yes, the whole thing will probably take until I'm old and grey 😂 (which isnt far off!)

Very enjoyable, Ollie, with some of the most beautiful scenery. I suppose it was quite tiring, but you proved that you could do it to your schedule. Many thanks for this showing, and keep well.

1978 Geology field trip to Ardnamurchan. Stayed in Strontian and surveyed all over Kilchoan and the western tip. You were very close to the glorious and memorable Sana Bay Ollie!! An enjoyable video. Some nice music as well!😉

I stayed at a camp site at Strontian in 1978! I don’t remember you!😂😂😂 I do remember, though, being straffed by RAF tornadoes on the ferry at Ballachulish on the way there. Ferry as gone now replaced with a uninteresting bridge!

@@psyjayne They were log cabins we stayed in. Now you mention them I do remember the jets. We'd gone all the way up there from Salisbury!

Great video Ollie really enjoyed it. Didn’t quite understand why the pandemic is still affecting the ferries.

Loving this Ollie, I attended Campbeltown Comprehensive for for a term back in '85, we lived in Machrihanish whilst attending to our Nans Post Office during her convalescence after a stroke.

I was listening to your schedule in England - Blackpool to Gretna in one day. I've done the entire South Coast, and many coastal communities are only reached by steep cul-de-sac lanes running down from the nearest main road which is often well inland. So in my case, a push along a cliff path to get to the next coastal community was often a slow but big mileage saver. So with regards to yourself - now you see what I'm getting at - exactly what do you term as a coastal route? I think Blackpool to Gretna in one day would be pushing it, even in a car!!!!!!!!

Hi John, sorry for the confusion. I did Blackpool to Gretna over two and a half days. The road was still very far from the sea a lot of the time. It's very hard to actually stay by the coast. I'm looking forward to the south coast though. Thanks for the advice. I Don't know that area very well

@@BeeHereNowuk my personal experience is - If you're talking about a real costal route, you need to check the Ordnance Survey maps before you leave (it would be unecessary luggage to take them with you). If you want to borrow them from the library, you may need to go to your chief branch in your county town. Along the South Coast you'll be holding the bike upright in ferries which can be little more than a rowing boat.!! Between greater Brighton and Littlehampton, it's built up all the way. Amongst the pearls, is the eight miles of sand with hard surface boardwalk at greater Bournemouth. South facing of-course, as is the entire route. What will you do about the Isle of Wight.?

I hope you were wearing your 'lid', I didn't see one. Islay - I believe it is pronounced a bit like a Geordie Scouser would say it - Ayela(h), with a silent H, not eye lay.
