Hi guys ... not sure if u still looking at comments. Thinking of doing the Del Norte next year 2023 but was surprised this video seemed to show it was mostly countryside, forest etc riding whereas I had the impression the Del Norte was more coastal. Didn't see much of that in this ??

Hi, where are you located in the UK-by the way? I am planning to this as well. I am in Newcastle. Would there be a chance we could meet up somewhere somehow? Thank you…

Great video, cheers. I'm pondering doing this (Santander to Santiago de Compostela) next year. You went in May, what was the temperature like in the evenings on the plateau? I'll be wild camping and don't want to have to take winter gear!! But also I don't want to be baking in the daytime..... many thanks ;-)

Hey, I'm thinking of cycling the Camino Del Norte in September. I'm not a great cyclist and won't have much time to prepare, so I'd like to know how physically demanding is it? Are there lots of big hills to tackle? Time shouldn't be an issue

Cambridge English Teacher Rory Hi Rory, thanks for getting in touch. It wasn’t too physically demanding. We did about 450km over seven days and while there was some uphill sections, in average we had to ‘walk’ our bikes once a day. From memory there were two really bad days, where the hills seemed to go on forever - but once you had made the climb there was an amazing descent. For context, were are two late 40s blokes with average fitness. I hope you enjoy the Norte, it’s fabulous!

devinevox hey, thanks a lot for your response! Am I right in thinking you guys rented the bikes? I’m thinking about buying one beforehand and bringing through France

HI Thanks for making this video, Were they gravel or mountain bikes, I'm thinking of taking my gravel bike on the same route as yourselves, in your 8 days did you have any rest days and did you bike or train it back to Santander, also I notice you weren't carrying a huge amount of luggage so did you port this ahead? I'm sorry for all my questions but and look forward to your reply. Ps Did you finish the Camino?

I like the video. It is very interesting. What kind of app did you use to follow the route and is this route is well marked. I am planning to do this route or el camino del norte in August. Thank you.

Hi Luis, we used the Komoot app. We found it very easy. Programmed in start and end and it then gave us options for different routes, what kind of terrain, what kind of bike etc. it also works for walking/hiking. You can use it to record your activity too.

I am going to walk the Camino Northern route this September and would like to bike the last stretch. I'm wondering if I have to reserve a bicycle ahead of time or can I just show up in a town like Gijon and rent a bike for 5 days? Do you happen to know?

Guys would you be able to share a gpx file of the route if you have one? Cycling from Gijon to SdC this July. Thanks.

Why in God’s name you chose that mindless background music, I wonder? It just defeats massively the joy of watching the scenery. Real shame you had to choose that awful soundtrack...

Hi Nagamachi ku, fair comment!

This is sadly the case for many camino videos... I just play the video without the sound to spare my ears :) Pictures are great, though
