im moving to winnipeg in october from a Jamaica..definitely seems i can easily get a 40 mile workout to and from just riding this route

You definitely can. One thing you'll learn very quickly is that it snows more than half the year, so most of the time it's covered in snow. Keep that in mind LOL.

Definitely going to take my allez on this exact ride this summer. I ride the section all around the university along with the greenway quite frequently, but have never went much north of mcgillivary blvd. Going to be fun
