I have watched a few of your videos now and am very interested in the way you seem to fly with your bicycles fully assembled. If this is not just for movie effect, will you please explain how that process works. I always have to box my bike and reassemble when i arrive.

Hello Mike, yes that's correct: I fly with my bike (nearly) fully assembled. Normally I remove the pedals but that's it. Sometimes the ground staff asks me to align my handlebars parallel to the frame, but as you know I have small racing handlebars with a long stem so the pack size would increase by rotating them 90°. In my opinion wrapping the bike like this has some advantages: - the ground staff/ loader recognize the bike as a bike (and hopefully they' handle it with care) - the ground staff can still move the bike on it's wheels - you can buy some sort of wrapping material almost everywhere - you can carry the wrapping material (bubble wrap, foam material or something similar) in a big bag on your bike some km to the airport But: You should doublecheck with the airline of your choice if it's fine for them. I know there are some fkn airlines (e.g. Ryanair = nightmare) that insist on boxes and some (e.g. air norwegian) that give you only a limited warranty... however, I had no problems with this great airlines: air berlin, turkish airlines, KLM and air malaysia..
