I thought the same (like 1 spot left, they needed 2), but there's always another dock, plus you flag it and get a time extension. TFL is not out there to "hurt" you(r wallet) for no fault of your own. ;)

The first time I ever went on a road bike I cycled up alpe d'huez on a hired bike for a dare. I made it. It hurt a lot. I bought a road bike as soon as I got back to England and haven't looked back since.... Great video Cam!

Biggest killer, financially, in France is those Toll Roads. Last year I did a six day trip on a motorbike and spent £139 on tolls. They are contactless so I didn't realise till I got home - JEEEEEEZ!!!

I don't envy that task - those things are bad enough to use on the flat with those useless gears! I'm yet to find one with a decent bell but finding one with a high serial number usually means it a bit newer albeit may have still been abused - at least yours didn't have any annoying squeaks or cyclic rattles :D Good effort chaps!

Everybody says England has extreme temperatures. Apart from the odd cold/hot spell that never lasts, our average winter temp is usually no less than 5 celcius. We don't know we're born, if it snows, everything comes to a standstill. Not like Scandinavia.

Awesome effort, and kudos for the safety calls. Not wearing a helmet is a problem if you make a habbit of it but its OK for very occasional stints. I dont think a helmet would have helped much there anyway.
