Lot's of riders don't think of themselves as sprinters and don't train it, then find themselves in a break that comes down to a sprint. Don't limit yourself. Give yourself as many options to win as possible.

Great point. You don't need to be the best of the best, you may just need to be the best of the rest!!

68kg, 177.8cm tall. That’s the body shape of a grand tour winner (slightly shorter and heavier but not by much)

I appreciate the very valuable conversation when I first listened to this. You all make great points about how we box ourselves in, and often are the biggest limiters to our own success. For one second, lets assume a rider has the healthy mindset listed above, how would you go about discovering your win conditions? In gaming, we look for ways to say *this is how I win this style of game* or *in this scenario, people like me should react this way*. How can we build this knowledge as cyclists? What's the TR approach to beginning to test their win conditions?

Thanks for the great question, Chris! It ultimately comes with time and experience, using races, race rides, and even just what you're into in training when facing adverse conditions to decide where your strengths are! Keep at it. :)

Chad Reed... Gosh. He probably would have won more if it wasn't for Bubba Stewart blowing everyones doors off for years...
