Yeah cyclists are freaking wild. Recently, I was walking down the path near the Rhine River in Cologne, Germany, where they have an actual bike path just for cyclists but one guy was riding down the pedestrian path and almost ran into this older couple. The man was in a wheelchair and his wife was walking beside him. The older guy in the wheelchair raised his arms up and was telling the guy to use the bike path and the cyclist just flipped the older couple off and told them to go to hell. I was so confused.

Some parks and trails are specifically designed to be handicap accessible so that everyone can enjoy the park/trail. I'm sure the handicapped rider researched the trail, before choosing to take his handicapped adaptable bike on that trail to make sure it was safe for him to use. The other cyclist and his wife were acting entitled, as if the trail was specifically theirs alone.

About the parking thing, i somewhat agree that if you dont have space to park, then you can park on the side. For us, we have 5-6 cars. We dont have any space at all to park because our neighbors would park by our house all the time while their house have bunch of parking space, for better shade. I sometimes have to park a block away because i don't want to park in front of ppl houses. A little common courtesy would be nice nowadays

This is weird. MTB people are usually pretty cool on the trails. In fact differently abled bikers are heroes. Most of them are riders that got into an accidemt and didn't let that slow them down. That's hardcore. And for one dipshit tonshow this much disrespect is insane!

Plus, you can't say that without the heavy implications of homophobia, whether or not you mean it that way. Words like that hold a lot of history you can't ignore. It's like white people trying to defend saying the n-word- doesn't matter how you're using it, it's not just some word you can decide to change the meaning or intensity of. Either way, it'll most likely come off as you insulting people in that community rather than the couple. The cyclist definatly should have been more respectfull and empathatic But if thats a specific mtb trail it can be dangerous b/c you expect only to encounter other mtb cyclist that you can easily pass. When you ride down those trails you go down with lots of speed so if you encounter something thats not meant for it it can cause a collision. So I can see the confusion since those lay down type of bike things do exist . But he came in way to hot so not excusing his behavior But if thats a regulat trail open to everyone hes totally an entitled douche But yeah idk the full context of that video just by that clip

Yall cant act like riding bikes aint fun though haha. Murica just needs to make its roads better for bikers and pedestrians. Like you're forced to drive on the road and then cars get annoyed at ya and want you to ride on the side walk when you aren't supposed to. I think that is why bikers come off as douche bags. Their sense's are already heightened from riding in the road and they are on edge ready to defend themselves from someone yelling at them.

Biker entitlement is a thing but nick is the only one that had a pov for even a second. Cars have killed so many pedestrians and it goes up every year by a lot. Every mom needs a Tahoe to take her kids to school and kill someone else’s child. There’s less road cycling now because it’s dangerous even though new flash they pay taxes too and the roads are for all vehicles. We’ve all just become so accustomed to people dying from cars it’s no biggie. And a lot of trails often aren’t paid by taxes or the city or anyone expect the community so yeah they’ll have rules because ebikes mess shit up. In this case and most disabled cases I think it’s ok but ebikers might see that and think of guess anyone can go. Do a jk news on how many paces people kill or the huge blind spots infront that keep getting bigger.

Devils advocate most trails are maintained by the mountain bike community so some people do take it personally when motorized vehicles are on the trails. Still need to be respectful and considerate.
