In the refine section kinda surprised LClaude didn't get a mention. The combination of great refine+remix, and getting the perfect special for him like a week later in Curved Shot was huge. He was pretty high in the compfeh rank1 SDS usage graphic for the season that just ended fwiw. As for coming refines, I'm kinda hoping they improve BChrom moreso laterally - maybe add some of duo chrom's cd support upon utilizing an assist, into the weapon. Or some other additional niche, and spend his refine budget that way (plus of course the bog standard moderate combat upgrade, maybe innate nfu/flow at least) ____ My kinda tinfoil for aging is that BFelix will age worse than BFRobin. He's basically the new BSeliph, so just like him, once he can no longer kill stuff with impunity in 6mo-1yr, he'll fall off (at least in SD). AR is another story, of course, I mean, I still use my SEdel and never even felt the need to upgrade to WEdel😅 BFRobin will age well simply because hybrid support+nuke ranged units *always* do.

When it comes to Alfonse, the reason for the paper vs wall situation is based on allies in cardinal directions of himself. He gains more in def/res in combat based on allies, which will also stack with all his other damage reduction and def/res boosts already baked onto his kit. He's a unit you have to bet everything on, but when you do nothing can take him down. In AR its even wilder with him being able to hit 99 in 2 of the 3 stats for his own atk/def/res to make him the face of horror on maps. His peak in potential is absolutely in AR as a result too, since with the right team he just overwhelms everything.

Robin's ice walls are so stupid and annoying and I hate them, but they also locked in a really hilarious SDS win for me. (Esw48aT6rU) Also I hope Fehology is as excited for Eitri remix as I am.

I only want the galeforce video if DTM puts in all the failed runs so we have examples of what not to do. Ever since IP put out that defense replay exposing DTM but that run never showing up on his own channel I have to know everything that's going on.

For the point about Nephenee being from the wrong Tellius game for her harmonic skill, it’s funny how Engage harmonics are probably the best harmonic options now since all emblems are from two games. Azura’s dance or Nephenee’s increased movement? Nah, Ike isn’t allowed any of those, but Goldmary’s bonus doubler or Anna’s healing are a-ok.

You know how they say math was discovered, not invented? Well, Joel talking about B!F! Robin in the middle of the desert map made me think of the scene in 2001: A Space Odyssey, where the monkey (us) discovers that they can break (counter) things (Felix) with a club (B!F! Robin), except this one was more obvious. It's so nice of IS to include the solution to the problem right in the same banner! He's still degenerate though. It's kind of W! Edelgard all over again, except the Celica ring gives him a place in defense too. I have a replay from today where he murdered half a team (including Ike) on turn 1, then casually took ~10 damage from a B! Sharena before doubling her for 60 damage each hit. Granted, this was a terrible team played equally terribly, but it's insane the amount of pressure Felix can put out, because even if you turtle in the back and Ike can survive a round against him, the rest of the team is coming for them, and chances are you can warp a WoM4 AoE nuke at some point (since the cost of opportunity for WoM on the B is low on them).

I do agree that Felix is the best cyl unit rn, but I'm a bit scared how IS is going to counter him now that he's so popular, IS is also known for their heavy handed counters like Ploy 4, Ruse 4 and now the canto curb stomp, I fear the moment galeforce and extra actions will be just ended by some C skill.

My +3 Brave Alfonse is chilling in AR-D Anima season with his pals Duo Seidr, Duo Robin, Mythic Freyr, Mythic Heidrun, Fallen Maria and Fallen Lumera. I ran him for fun in Arena last week and he tanks pretty well. I can't wait for Young/Groom Alfonse to come out next year that gives out Great Talent capped at +40 for himself and +20 for his allies.😉

I have played this game since day 1. Uninstalled and deleted my save file after spending orbs and not getting Nailah (around the time Legendary Alm came out). Opened a new account after about 2 years, when legendary Dimitri was released, proceeded to spend stupid amounts of money on it. But now, I have dropped the game for about 2 weeks. The power creep has just made it impossible to want to invest on any unit, as it will be quickly replaced. I just don't see the fun on the game anymore, which is a shame. I know power creep is a thing, but things have gotten out of hand, specially with how many effects all new weapons and skills have. It's literally what happened with Yugioh tcg. Giving everything too many effects is never a good thing.

@kiracaos I think you should only build your favorites, chasing the meta is never a good thing and can burn you out quickly. Still there's a couple of units you can invest in and those will never get truly powercrept, you just mentioned having summoned for LDimitri then you probably got a couple of copies of Peony, investing in her and normal plumeria are some of the best investments you can do for Aether Raids, just try finding a middle ground you're comfortable with.

@Spectralmyrrh no they definitely undersold him a bit lol - but tbf I think at least dtm & fehology are big gforce/hnr fans (he's usable but not really necessary or even ideal for such a strat). I'm a big plonker, so yeah I use eiktyrnir+ashera all the time on offense too 😅 also, like they said, it's not only how good an ar-o Mythic is, but if they're worth picking up given you want to merge them for lift, ideally. For f2p or lower spenders, an O Mythic has to be INSANE to be worth pulling for atp given a lot of ppl by now have amassed merges of plumeria, seidr, maybe ash, etc. I, of course, gigawhaled my sweet moose boi +10 right on his debut, but if I wasn't spending it would be a harder sell. I *am* interested to see if we'll see him in SD once it changes back to a more cav-friendly map since unlike most beasts he has the prf transform for broad synergy, and could potentially help BAlf more easily ramp great talent stacks, etc.
