Long Text Ahead, TL;DR at the bottom: I had one going about more than a year and a half of hard use. The CM040D was actually a replacement to my CM047D which I had for five years before it completely died and attempts to repair failed. Rather than waste more time or spend more money, I bought this and never looked back. I will confidently say that this is MILES better than the CM047D model which is based off a Tokyo Marui classic design rather than VFC It's so far my favourite airsoft AK I've had the chance to field and currently my main choice for all sorts (indoor and outdoor as mine is within UK limits of 350 and under). The Cyma model might be lighter than the LCT and E&L models but it's surprisingly close in weight to a real AK105 with an empty mag out the box (3.2KG) so it's generally heavier than your bog standard M4, even metal ones. I've however fitted 5KU Zenitco parts, with some minor modifications to get the best fit but it really helps that the receiver is still based off a VFC design like LCT, so it fit quite well. It will shoot the weight around 4.0kg minimum, mine is sitting around 4.3kg with a Holosun 503g, xcortech X501 tracer, M640DF replica, NGAL Replica, B33 Dust Cover, Sport-1 Handguard and PT-1 Gen 1 stock with a plastic mag. In regards to the safety, I've had the standard safety for several months before moving to an extended safety, it doesn't seem to have loosen up overtime at least severely, but I throw it from safe to semi on the regular so it's a given. Used it for about a year with it stock barring the accessories before I've done some minor internal work. Swapped out the barrel for a ZCI 6.02mm barrel and ZCI hop rubber, so far doing well, but stick to the OEM hop unit, it works fine enough. I plan to get this worked on with a Mosfet, I've been running my AK with a 9.9v LiFe to get decent performance without pushing it to 11.1v which I find is a bit much. TL;DR: Great gun out the box, and a great budget option to turn into a sick AF Alpha AK105

It's my favorite AK that I own, and I plan on turning it into something nice

@@airsoftbros7734 Sadly it's not as easy to find in the UK nor is it as cheap. Importation issues most likely are screwing it up for us, so currently our best budget oriented AKs are Specna Arms (which I'll say they're actually alright)

That’s how slings work my guy ALSO the cyma standards should be shooting 420-435 fps at .2 bbs

That side optic mount area is called a Dovetail mount by the way!
@airsoftbros77348 ай бұрын
Yep
@BlueSkooma7 ай бұрын
it isn’t tho, it’s similar to a dovetail but the correct name is a “WarSaw mount” or “Side Optics mount”

Thanks for the review it was very helpful. I have been looking to buy this gun. Would you recommend it as a good starter gun?
@airsoftbros7734 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I would. I would also recommend using a 7.4v LiPo battery inside it as well.

Is it possible to remove and replace the stock? And is it possible to change the furniture? Also love the review! Probably gonna get this
@airsoftbros773411 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's possible. I plan on removing all that anyway, I'm turning it into a Zenitco AK-104 with a different handguard, railed dust cover, and a buffer tube adapter.

I'm in dilemma right now, I need AK that rock solid, higher FPS, and reliable, is this rifle a good option or I should get E&L series
@airsoftbros77347 ай бұрын
I would go with CYMA over E&L personally
@totiussolusАй бұрын
if you take out the cleaning rod does the gun rattle less?
@airsoftbros7734Ай бұрын
Yes. If you don't want to remove the cleaning rod I would put some electrical tape around it so that it doesn't rattle and stays in place.

What battery was you using
@airsoftbros77345 ай бұрын
A 7.4v LiPo. I wouldn't run anything higher voltage than that to prevent any kind of damage to the trigger contacts.

Ok silly question but why call it ak-105. I have seen multiple AKs with this name but with totaly diferent body.... I mean i want to buy the Cm 040B... and have seen it being called as Ak-105 as well.
@airsoftbros77345 ай бұрын
"CM040D" is CYMA's unique product code for the gun itself, so that you're able to tell each model from the others. And I call it an AK-105 because that's exactly what it is, a replica of the AK-105.
@rustable25718 күн бұрын
It’s a ak 105 one of the 100 series it’s a different gun even in the real steal world
