Lots of interesting features on this, cheers for explaining them all. I'm pretty sure the receivers are cast then machine finished, a heck of a lot cheaper than full CNC'd aluminium! lol.

I’ve been dying to get back into airsoft. Dying to use a GBBR, and this might sell me on the CGS RIS III 14.5” version. I live in the US and it’s pretty irksome looking at GBBR prices from overseas but these CGSs seem worth it and I can get them easily from Evike

Great vid and info as usual. Your reviews causing too many purchases though…. Tempted by CGS but mindful of your admonitions about hop walking and questionable $ premium for what one gets. Will they be addressed in comparison you mentioned? Purchase of Noveske version of this PDW awaits your ruling!

I don’t know I’ve got one tm Mws and a dozen mags so next rif would make sense to get a mws compatible rif. I’ve heard mixed reviews on the T8 system. It does look nice different from other tm stuff. Can you show how to remove both the hideous orange tip and the compensator so we can install a different one?

Hi there, it's simple to do. First, check if there is a small grub screw at the base of the muzzle device. If there is one, then remove it, and you can just undo the muzzle device. Remember, the thread is 14mm ccw, so turn clockwise to undo and counterclockwise to tighten. If it is stiff, there may be a bit of locktight, and so some heat from a hairdryer might help.

Just got one - function nice and looks really cool, but quality are not so nice. Magazine pin bent which is almost impossible to take out, way too much glue on trigger adjustment screw so again, no way to adjust(while original setting is too marginal, which could cause issue)

Saying that the DDM4 PDW is a better backpack gun compared to the MCX is just odd. Not a fan of either platforms, personally. But the MCX has more going for it than the DDM4 PDW. The obvious thing is upper retained buffer system allowing for folding stocks. Then you got benefit of running 1:5 twist vs 1:7, which can benefit mono copper expanders (in theory anyways, but most don't even buy the actual worthwile subsonic ammo to begin with funnily enough). DD should have just done a mk18 in 300blk, would be much more practical than 5.56.

Hi there, you can adjust the hop on the ddm4 with a flat head screwdriver through the magwell. Just lock the bolt to the rear, and you will see it. Turn it counterclockwise to add hop.

Hi there, not in the original T8 trigger box. You would have to chainge it to a more traditional marui box.

@@MiddleAgeGameruk from what I could gather it seems to be a lot of haters that didn’t even try the gun, some people saying "not fully mws compatible so it’s shit" ect. For me it’s the best option so far, since I want a SBR out of the box (and apart from the mcx from toxicant or apfg, there isn’t much choice ^^)

it feels weird paying premium for a clone, the fact that you compared the price to a TM Urgi and not the basic MWS also tells me that the regular MWS is cheaper than this which is a little weird... but for someone who wants this look then it's probably a better choice than a TM

Hi there, I used the URGI as that is the latest from Tokyo Marui, as for price here in the UK there really isn't much difference between the original M4A1 MWS and the URGI as they have held there price well. For me the point of a clone is to bring competition to the market and help keep prices affordable, if that clone can do an equal or better job than the original creator than that's great.

Well TM won’t stay peak as time goes by. There will be better performing replicas. Just because it’s a clone doesnt mean it should be priced less. Zet plate isn’t all that necessary with these steel internals anyway. Imagine if they came cerokated, it’ll be priced more.
