@@helloplantlovers To be fair, I have probably watched a hundred or so videos on this orchid, and you probably took everything I was told and organized it for me. 🤪😅🪴 But I learn best from information that is presented in a ‘process’, and you did that extremely well here. I’m checking out most of your videos now, a few at a time, to avoid overload. Thanks again.

Another informational video, Matthew. If you recall, I shared with you the fact that I am a newbie who was given 35 pots of cymbidiums from my father earlier this year. Based on your common-sense advice, I have re-potted them (albeit late in their cycle) and divided them because some of them were overdue. I am happy to say that all the plants (54 pots now) are thriving and the vast majority of them are giving me new growth. Although my father warned me, I was pleasantly surprised to see flowers coming up with some of them. The anticipation of finding out what the flowers will look like is killing me. Thanks again for the advice your share with us through your videos.

Thank you for this video. I have one cymbidium, but after watching the video that you shared your mother-in-laws cymbidium, I’m on the hunt for that color. That one is beautiful and I’m happy to see it’s doing well for you. Most years mine stay outside year around under a north west facing covered porch. This year it was going to get down to 22F and the blooms were just about to open. I didn’t want to risk it so I had my husband bring it inside. We’ve been enjoying the blooms but it’s time for it to go back outside. Love your videos.

Thank you Matthew for this timely video. It has reminded me to shift the location of my two pots. The dance of the cymbidiums begins. Your watering and feeding advice is also much appreciated. Now to find that spot somewhere the slugs won’t get to them 🤔.

Love your channel. My climate is very similar to yours. I've a cymbidium called Udaigiri, only had it for two months, and it has a tiny new growth. I thought it was an autumn bloomer until I watched this video so I was giving it bloom food (optimistically!) but I've now switched back to higher nitrogen fertiliser. Thanks! It's going to grow much better as a result of the switch. It's a beautiful little plant, FYI. It has some Aussie cymbidium in its heritage, which adds a bit of toughness I need in my environment.

I gave my Cymbidium bulbs in a pot like you did and put it in the living room at the south side window. Wil be now 18-20°C on day, ~ 17°C. in night. Please tell me, what was the temperature of your growing pseudobulb?
@helloplantlovers Жыл бұрын
@@user-ic5xu4jh6z Mine was outside so ambient temperature throughout winter, spring and summer. They would take exactly the same conditions as the plant - just keep them dry until roots are established!
