Cyndi Lauper talks final tour, documentary, health and technology | AP interview

Cyndi Lauper was joined by Cher and Bebe Rexha as she placed her handprints in cement outside Hollywood's famed TCL Chinese Theatre. The 70-year-old performer is the subject of a new documentary, "Let the Canary Sing," and is launching her final tour later this year. She spoke with AP entertainment journalist Rick Taber after the handprint ceremony about persistence, experimenting with technology - and embracing opportunities: "Sometimes you get a little sprinkle of fairy dust on you and it's magic." #cyndilauper

It genuinely saddens me because if label issues are politics in music, Cyndi only rehearsed one solo album of original material in the last 25 years. Of course she made great music on broadway and with her cover albums, but u genuinely thought she had more to offer and maybe if she was supported more we would’ve heard even more music from her.
